1. So what if thousands of rioting migrants are jumping on lorries and setting fire to the tunnel and causing hundred-mile tailbacks and whatnot? Thomann should have anticipated something like this and invested in a fleet of standby delivery Zeppelins. Now I'm going to have to wait anything up to a few days for my pickguard screw. Disgusted.
 2.
Anyone remember Musicians Only, or did I imagine it?
Musicians Only reviewed the band I was in at the time and tipped us for the big time. We split the following week. That's why I remember it. In a sort of gritted-teeth way.
 3. I've told this story before but, whatever. Back in about 1980-81 I was on the platform at Manchester Piccadilly. Just as the train pulled in I noticed Garry Bushell immediately in front of me, stood right at the platform edge. I thought about it and decided not to. One shove could have changed history and I'd probably have got away with it back in those days before CCTV.
 4.
Constructive criticism doesn't need to offer advice on how to improve, it just needs to highlight areas for improvement. 5. Outstanding. The once-majestic NME becomes a college give-away pamphlet, possibly with a cover-mounted free sachet of shampoo. No matter, I preferred Sounds (until the gobsh*te fathead Bushell turned up). Did anyone know that these days there are actually college courses in 'music journalism'? No, really. That ship already sailed, I'da thought.
 6. I regret the OP's disappointment and sympathize. Nevertheless I don't quite see how someone backing out of a deal where no money has yet changed hands is either 'untrustworthy' or something for the mods to deal with. People say they'll buy something then suddenly disappear off the radar. People say they'll sell something then they change their mind. It's bloody annoying but unless there are specific shenanigans of which I'm unaware, I'd just chalk it up to experience. Also, having sold and bought scads of stuff here, on other music forums, gumtree and ebay, I'd have to say BC is better than most (though not entirely problem-free).
 7. Thing is - who is 'the black man' who gave him a card? Was it a birthday card?
 8. Frankly, if someone went off like that in a shop where I worked I'd be filming events just in case he lamped someone. World class rant from a possibly 'not entirely normal' person. A bit unfair to post the film but it's given us all something to talk about on a quiet Saturday. Hey ho.
 9.
It's that same old "justification" for getting something for nowt that occasionally gets discussed here, and never fails to disappoint me on a musicians forum.
Quite. No thought of solidarity until someone nicks their cable from the rehearsal studio and we're expected to post sympathetic stuff like 'I feel your pain, mate'.
 10.
kanye ... I would be interested to know how much he contributes to the actual creation of "his" music.
Mr West has been known to pop his head round the control room door from time to time. 'Hev yer finished dere, lads? Would yers loike anither cuppa tay? Ah, gwan.' My mistake, that's his Irish cousin Kanye Feckoff - the one who keeps falling off his bike.
 11.
I think this has a major bearing on things. I'm sure an awful lot of us would probably have more time and respect for The Greatest Living Rock Star if he wasn't quite so monumentally & irretrievably up himself.
Speaking for myself, no. Even were Mr West the soul of modesty he'd still be a plank. Just a modest plank rather than an arrogant plank. Then we'd feel sorry for him rather than hate him. But we wouldn't respect him. Because he's a plank.
 12. Turn up, set up, play the songs, enjoy yourself, pack up and go home. Everything else is a refinement.
 13.
Dear Mr Mrs Ms or Miss Fatuous Delete Where Appropriate, I was thinking of ordering the 'Thinking about drinking flat champagne out of a plastic glass in a special VIP area while thinking about Kanye West' package. Is there a 'Thinking about ordering the Thinking about drinking flat champagne out of a plastic glass in a special VIP area while thinking about Kanye West package' package, and does this mean that I have effectively bought it? Is there a 'Rethinking the thinking about ordering the Thinking about drinking flat champagne out of a plastic glass in a special VIP area while thinking about Kanye West package package' package, and does this mean that I have effectively bought it? 14.
Dear Lola Fatuous, Does the stated fee include a VIP Roadside Parking Permit for the hard shoulder of the M5? My girlfriend Lulu-Beth wants to "Get it on" in a VW Camper underneath a ginormous full-colour (am I allowed to say that?) poster of the greatest rockstar in the entire history of the whole world. Yours forever, Bill Wyman
Dear Mr Wyman Si si, vous etes un rock star - just not the greatest rock star in the world ever. No - you may not 'slip the silk torpedo' to your girlfriend in a camper van on the hard shoulder of the M5. Not at your age. And where would you hang your colostomy bag? Have a nice day Lola Fatuous
 15. Closer scrutiny reveals this to be an exhibition about The Jam. The event will apparently be coupled with a Greatest Hits album to go with the other 42,323 Jam 'Best Of's ' that have appeared since the band folded nearly 80 years ago. On this occasion the 'unreleased material' will be a solo Weller instrumental of the theme from The Likely Lads.
 16.
Dear Ms Fatuous The cheque's in the post. I think that Kanye looks like a nice boy because he is clean and he doesn't play with nasty long-haired rock musicians. Or indeed musicians of any kind.
Dear Ms Shelley Thinking that Kanye looks like a nice boy because he is clean and he doesn't play with nasty long-haired rock musicians is an upgrade on the 'Thinking about drinking flat champagne out of a plastic glass in a special VIP area while thinking about Kanye West' package. The 'Thinking about drinking flat champagne out of a plastic glass in a special VIP area while thinking that Kanye looks like a nice boy because he is clean and he doesn't play with nasty long-haired rock musicians' package costs an additional $90.00. Please therefore remit $267.50 immediately. Respectfully Lola Fatuous for Ticketmaster / K-West Inc
 17.
For an extra $40 can I think about drinking some flat champagne out of a plastic glass in a special VIP area?
Dear Ms Shell Because you've already thought about drinking flat champagne out of a plastic glass in a special VIP area while thinking about Kanye West, remit immediately $177.50 within seven days to: Ticketmaster / 'Just thinking about Kanye West VIP package'. Please supply proof of age / ethnicity when making your payment (all major cards accepted). Best Lola Fatuous for Ticketmaster / K-West Inc .
 18. KANYE WEST ANNOUNCES 'GROUND-BREAKING' 2016 TOUR Following his acclaimed performance-free performance at Glastonbury, global uberstar Kanye West today announced plans for an 'innovative' 2016 world tour which will 'raise the bar even higher'. A spokesman said: 'The ground-breaking twist will be that Kanye won't actually be present at any of the concerts nor will there be a musical performance of any kind by anyone. For $150 a ticket Kanye's millions of devoted fans will be able to stand in an empty, stage-free, unseated venue where they can silently stare at each other in celebration of Kanye's genius. 'But Kanye hasn't forgotten those of his fans who can't afford $150 to see Kanye not perform. So Ticketmaster are offering a special $75* deal where - for 90 minutes - you can just think about Kanye not performing - all in the comfort of your own home. And of course, you can do this on the date of your choosing. But not more than once, obviously, because that would be like bootlegging or whatnot'. Ends * $75.00 fee for the 'Just thinking about Kanye' package excludes booking charge, administration surcharge and postage. .
 19. The Who may not be the band they were back in the 60's / early 70's. But they're a better proposition now than when they were during during the Kenney Jones era. 1982: Worst Who Ever .
 20. This being a musicians' forum and me being a sort of musician I was going to make some observations about Mr West's musical performance. Then I realised that my age and ethnicity preclude me from holding a valid opinion or indeed any opinion at all. I apologise for being neither young nor black and shall in future restrict my adumbrations to the works of Mr Joe Dolce, Bucks Fizz and Mr Chesney Hawkes.

 22.
All that bling and it still has a nasty plastic toggle switch!
Indeed. And - as someone remarked somewhere else - standard fret markers and a rosewood board when they could have used ebony and some custom inlays. Basically, a bog-standard SG off the line dipped in glue and rolled in diamonds. Plays like buttah. But look closer... Dear God! ... are those heart-shaped pot knobs? It's like one of those Limited Edition mantelpiece tat offers you see in the back of TV Choice; 'An amazing commemorative model of Hogwarts Academy out of Harry Potter lovingly crafted by Franklin Crystal only £49.99 posted, suckers'.

 24.
Ah now, that wasn't me - I had the sleigh bells and the chorus of rosy-cheeked schoolchildren in bobble-hats.
If it wasn't you then it was probably that ****-****ing ****bubble Bellamy. David, that is, not Matt. Obviously.
 25.
Where, indeed?
It wasn't a rhetorical question. Where are the neiges d'antan? And don't pretend you don't know. I distinctly recall that you had them last. When you were shooting the video for the Christmas single. Just send them back and we'll say no more about it.
