Mint on Olympic White looks fantastic, especially when the mint ages and goes a bit darker, but only with a rosewood fretboard. With maple? No thanks. White, or cream, on white usually looks dreadful and cheap. Yeah, it's a guitar, but it shows the difference well.

Oops, forgot all about this. Here they are. First one is overdriven and slightly favouring the bridge pickup with some treble rolled off. Second one is cleaner and about 65% neck pickup with some treble rolled off.

The mortgage gets paid, the car gets serviced, the cats get fed. If I've got money left to spend on a bass every now and then, where's the problem? Some people blow their money on smokes and booze. I don't. I like playing basses, I like building and repairing basses and I enjoy the different designs from an aesthetic perspective. They're tools, they're instruments and they're art pieces, all in one. I don't mind who knows it, I'm going to say it now... I... like... bass. 😳
