  1. Bronze medallist at the last World Championships. She's got a lot of natural ability, but she really needs to work on her seeking.
  2. 😉
  3. EBMM Silhouette SUB, I would guess.
  4. Woodlines are/were Japan handmade. Woodline just meant passive. The Standards were active. Top one here is a Woodline which I lopped a Sadowsky pre into, most definitely Japanese.
  5. Home carve & refin? Or replacement body given the neck screws aren't in the regular spot either?
  6. I tried to migrate from iTunes to Apple Music last week and will never make that mistake again. A horrible experience, trying to weed out what I don't want from it to get to what I do. A few years ago, I decided on a policy where I bought a phone with a very large storage capacity and keep all the music I've bought over the years on that. Sod streaming (not one of them pays a decent rate, it's not just Spotify), sod radio, sod algorithms, I'll choose the music I want to listen to as and when I want to listen to it. Use Picky on the phone, iTunes at home (or the original CD or record) and buy from Bandcamp when I want something new. No fuss, no muss.
  7. Can you upload a picture of the head and strings by the tunings pegs? I've never heard of two strings go like that before. Did you manually wrap the slack around the tuning peg by hand or did you turn the tuning key fully from slack? 5 winds is a lot. If you loop them around the tuner by hand, you introduce twists to the core. Generally I would cut maybe 2" past the post, insert the end into the hole in the middle of the tuner and turn the key with one hand, while keeping tension by hand so the string wraps tight around the post with little or no slack, always feed the wrap under the previous wrap, max 3 wraps in total. I've never had a breakage.
  8. Sorry to break it to you, but that is already happening today.
  9. I wonder, given his company's increasing penchant for injecting AI generated "content" into playlists, if that is what he is referring to, rather than five lads in a recording studio laying it down on tape, maaaan, or the youtuber types with their army of editors and the like, and this is just hysterical offence being taken by those who despise how his company has contributed to making music almost worthless (myself included)? I read his original comment as making much more sense when applied to the likes of Tiktok or AI stuff than a Tool album.
  10. Some of the new stuff I've heard recently... yeah, I mean... in a way, I can see his point 🤷🏻‍♂️
  11. Print pictures of sardines in a tin/badger/miniature city/death star/pac man/lava/outer space/pazuzu/hot dog/soup/etc. Cut to size, insert under scratch plate but above preamp. Change as mood suits.
  12. Ed Tudor-Pole would be spinning in his grave if he had perished.
  13. Are the screw lug positions in the same place on both too? On a regular J the screws are further apart on the bridge pickup too, it's not just the overall size of the pickup, the carve-outs for those lugs are in different positions too. You're going to have an ugly and misshapen hole no matter how you go about it. Were I in your position, I'd just buy two humbucking neck pickups, or a second CS60 neck pickup like the one you already have and, as you won't get RWRP noise-cancelling with both pickups on, spends some quality time shielding. Unsheathing the chisel is not something I'd be considering, to be honest.
  14. Too many breakups to recall, over the years, but the best one went like this: Guitarist came up to me on stage just as we were about to start our set, eyes wide like dustbin lids. "I can't feel my hands" he mumbled. He couldn't feel his feet either, as it turned out, and stumbled around looking to get a stool to sit on. We started the set with the guitarist slouched limply on his stool but still making an admirable effort to play. While our completely improvised jazz-metal explorations sometimes worked, were engaging and listenable, this was not one of those nights. It was not a great night to be going through a bout of intense paranoia in a semi-sedated state, I discovered. As we lumbered on, banter between our singer and lads in the crowd was turning serious... and aggressive. Beer was spilled, insults were issued. The rest of us were unaware of this, however, struggling to move fingers and limbs while floundering in our own mental treacle. Singer walked off-stage, out the door of the venue and out of the band, halfway through a song, followed by a couple of lads looking for a confrontation. We didn't really notice, straight away and, after we did, finished the set, regardless. Afterwards, as we struggled manfully to pack up, I truly understood the sorrow of St. Hubbins when he said "Well, I'm sure I'd feel much worse if I weren't under such heavy sedation." Better than a whatsapp whinefest, any day.
  15. I once tried to park outside Tesco on the high street but Mick Jagger pointed out it was a clearway between 8:00am and 4:30pm, Monday through Saturday and, as it was 2:45pm on a Thursday, I was not allowed to park there.
  16. I was in Germany last week and saw Masters of Reality in Rüsselsheim, supported by Alain Johannes, who is also playing guitar for MOR. Wonderful stuff. A few days before we saw Rum Jungle in Hamburg, who were ok, supported by Absolutely Anytime, who I quite enjoyed.
  17. Well done, xgsjx, great stuff!
  18. Figure out shipping from there and put ads on regional sites like this, zikinf, bassic, etc.
  19. Take off the truss rod cover and try it.
  20. His natural but odd looking 5 string JJ was trans blue but faded over the years. I think the Wimbish tag is just a means for them to charge a grand extra for the slimmer nut, to be honest. The Wimbish LX models are massively overpriced compared to a regular LX for what is basically the same bass aside from nut width.
  21. Had a 92 4003, loved the sound. I recorded both a mid and late 70's 4001 in the studio years ago, thought they sounded dreadful. 4003 all the way (if they ever got a forearm contour).
  22. Thank you for validating my post 🙂
  23. Send me your narcotics, please! Where to start? There is no resentment felt across Europe for Britain, particularly when it comes to the likes of music, comedy and other artistic pursuits, which are massively respected. Your view is a lie sold to you by multiple governments and media sources to make you think Europe was to blame so so many of Britain's recent and not so recent failings. Brexit's not like the brochure, eh? Ever wonder why? Your second paragraph perfectly illustrates why there should be resentment, however. The Ibiza tourist of posts. Take your head out of your arse, lad. As you say, the UK entry was rubbish. Grindr visuals with music not fit for a Wetherspoons advert. Yet you somehow think there's a larger movement at play which was behind other countries not voting for such a terrible song? Was 2022 that long ago? Show some respect, send something entertaining and you get votes. It's oh so simple.
  24. Link please.
  25. EMG pickups don't need to be earthed. Not sure if that applies to all active pickups, however.
