  1. Will he bring Felix the cat?
  2. I assume you provide the bass amplification and the drummer provides a kit, so that's a moot point, I would say.
  3. Anything the band do as a whole should get split evenly. I think it's fair that any extra work someone in the band does for the band, for example, music recording and production or "content creation", artwork or other promotional work, songwriting, driving, etc and should be recognised and a little extra agreed for them by all. Some gowl sneaking money out without the knowledge or prior agreement of all of the rest of the band? Nah, that's not on at all.
  4. £1599, wasn't it? Blatantly fake, too, not something a shop like that should be getting so very badly wrong.
  5. Likewise. I'd love to try one, particularly when they had body contours. Doing away with the cheese grater pickup surround was also a great idea.
  6. Give me a forearm contour or give me death. Or a 4004.
  7. I used to have an early 90's 4003. I loved the sound of it, loved the look of it, but it was just murder on my right forearm. How I play just isn't compatible with a slab top and binding. I'd love to have one again, all the same, just for that lovely aggressive sound.
  8. This is interesting. Kip Winger, former pouffy-haired 80's hard rocker has a Spector I've never seen before, can't find it on the Spector site either. No cease-and-desist issued yet?
  9. When it comes to original music, it's usually the bands and local promoters, not venues, who put the gigs on. Start contacting other bands in related genres and build relationships, trade support slots. Go to other band's gigs and talk to them. Since a new original band rarely comes with a paying crowd, you'll get places by networking and building up a rapport with other bands who are gigging. Be prepared to travel.
  10. After a buildup like that, you're not going to post it? Come on!!! 😂
  11. Corporate pop punk knows the value of brand association.
  12. Congratulations, Nick, richly deserved in a very strong month 👍🏻
  13. Eeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwww 🤢 Factor a Grade 1 decontamination into the price. Possibly tetanus shots, too.
  14. Vintage II Originaler. Authenticer. Vintager. We saw the money that changes hands for our old crap and we want piece of that action. Buy now! Buy twice!
  15. ...and knowing that you ignored the signs of the battery going flat for a long, long time and only have yourself to blame. Don't let the Project Fear mob get to you. If active tickles your fancy, go for it. There are millions of bassists around the world enjoying the flexibility of active instruments for a very good reason.
  16. Spectacular efforts all round, well done!
  17. More Shrek than Serek, just a poorly executed retro effort.
  18. Don't cut the foam! There are two thumbscrews at either end of the plate the foam sits on. Use them to lower the foam out of the way.
  19. Momose are serious business.

    What bass?

I think we have a winner
  21. Great, great band. Mike Starr had some really busy lines but never got in the way, a really good player. I love the downslides Inez did in Grind, simple, but really effective
  22. The second one says it's Fender compatible but has a square derrière to the neck pocket, so selectively compatible, I would say.
  23. I don't think I've ever submitted one so early in the month 😂 The music: Driving Ferraris around a dystopian city cost me a lots of 10p pieces in the 80's. Beating the clock, getting time bonuses and moving to the next stage were all that mattered, accompanied by 8-bit hard rock. The blurb. Yamaha drums with a brass snare, captured by the cheapest Thomann mics and Behringer interface. Bass is a Levinson Blade, guitars are a Bacchus floyd-equipped rock type, into an Engl pre. Synth stuff is Reason, all mushed together in Protools.
