The Kula Shaker version is being used on an ad at the moment. Couldn't tell you what the ad was for, but it was certainly Crispian and co.

When Hush is used, it's usually Kula Shaker's version.

Lars and James still had to share the same space as Jason, even though they couldn't hear him. -
Deen Town is Woody's work, is it not?

I would describe my tone concisely 😉

Very nice! Did you notice much of a difference between the Levinson and Sadowsky pickups? I like the Levinsons but, without the dummy coil, there is no hum-cancelling. I'll live with it for now and see how much of an issue it turns out to be (or try to figure out a way to wire it in).

Exactly. It's not like Paranoid where they didn't actually know what the word meant 😂

Picture the scene, you're playing The Chain at the start of your village's Formula 1 Appreciation Society weekly meeting and you get to the big breakdown. You're playing a regular acoustic, what happens next? Nothing, other than you bringing shame upon the entire village and the meeting starts on a massive downer. That's what. With this, you flip it over and it's GO GO GO! Not all heroes wear capes.

Or for defusing those awkward campfire moments when some thoughtless deviant says "Well, someone needs to be the bass player!"

Swiss design, made in Japan. I'd imagine a lot of thought went into somewhat keeping a traditional aesthetic while offering advanced (for 30 years ago) electronics.

On top, vol-blend-tone with a two-way switch to bypass the preamp. Simple enough... 🙂 In the cavity, however, things get a little complicated 😂 Starting from the left, gain pots for each pickup. Just above the blend pot, there's a control which allows you to dial in how much the dummy coil (wrapped in copper below) is integrated and reduces hum. To the right there are bass-mid-treble gain pots. It's the kind of thing you set and live with until you pop the lid again, which is fine but just a bit too much hard work to adjust for me. Very clever, all the same, which is why I wanted to give it a chance. It's a really, really nicely designed and put together bass and the more straightforward Sadowsky preamp has turned it into a World Champion for me.

Yeah, it's an ebony board.

I am rapidly falling in love with the Blade B4 I picked up last year. Instantly, it felt right in hand and the build quality is superb but the somewhat quirky electronics took some getting used to. After living with it for many months, I recently popped a Sadowsky preamp in there instead and... yeah, this is really bang on now. I am very much smitten.

There are Metro lines made in Germany now with the Sadowsky name on the headstock. The Metro Express are made in Asia - China I think?

If Leo had started that forum, he would have gotten it right first time

If we're going to put inverted commas around every brand name where basses aren't made by the original dudes, we're going to wear the " key out fairly quickly.

Hmmm... ply body, like 🙃

Ahhh, Fender must have cut the shill budget, so.

For anyone missing it, the Talkbass answer to the question you were going to ask, no matter what question it was, is P bass, tort guard and flats.

What kind of thought process leads one to thinking this was an idea so good that even the feel of the chisel in hand wasn't accompanied with a deep sense of foreboding? https://www.ebay.ie/itm/ALEMBIC-Distillate/363343410822?hash=item5498f47686:g:lPkAAOSw~ddgW0Ol Let's not dig to deep into a seller in Japan with 90.5% Positive Feedback listing in Spanish 😂
