I caught his drum stick during the Maiden England Tour in 2013 at a European festival. In fact I saw Maiden England three times, the original in 88 then twice in 2013. I've been trying to catch Steve's sweat band for decades 😄, even in a small venue during British Lion gig it's impossible.

When Maiden looked for Bruce's replacement there were rumours I read somewhere have James LaBrie or Michael Kiske, but I believe it was Steve who insisted a British singer would join Maiden. As for Nicko, I think it was during the Book of Soul tour I bought a last minute ticket almost the side of the stage, so I watched guitar tech stringing up Steve's bass , with Steve, Janick and Nicko at the backstage. I remember shouting 'Nicko...'. he looked in my general direction and waved making a silly face. There were rumours that Dave has been getting tired of touring. Bruce and Steve are very active on the projects and Adrian just released a new single...so who knows what the future holds. Could ' Run for your Lives Tour' be the finale?

Old thread,but thought I contribute. This year I finish building my outdoor Gazebo, that required some power tools and som hand tools like Japanese saw ,chisels etc. Although I own a set of chisel set and two sided sharpening stone, I found it a bit mundane to sharpen my chisels, even the wet stone on the grinding bench was a bit of a faff, so invested in honing system for precise sharpening.

Absolutely agreed, so does the dog barking the neighbour lets out every evening and even later at night during summer hasn't changed his barking phrase in the past 5 years or so, same old bark, no change in tone,when I have to get up at 5:30 am. I have played the same 4-5 songs almost daily on my bass to relieve work related stress in past several weeks, and although it may not be my neighbours cup of tea , I bet one day he hears Anthrax, Maiden or Metallica and says, I've heard this somewhere....

I used to live directly above my landlord ( in the same house) and for about 3 years it was headphones out the amp, not good for the ears at all. I think living in a flat surrounded by neighbours can be tricky, most likely you can hear others hoovering, shutting ( not closing) the front doors, TV, kids screaming , couples arguing etc. A dull, average person accept these sounds as normality, almost like background noise. But as soon someone starts doing something out of ordinary, like playing music instruments, it's all pointing fingers and the rest. I understand that people want to keep good neighbourhood relationship, BUT you should be allowed to play bass at a reasonable volume and at a reasonable time during the day. Just because someone does't like the out of the ordinary sound it doesn't mean it's more annoying than the everyday noise pollution you experience in the block of flats. I live in a semi, in the corner of cul-de-sac and we have a spare room between my neighbours wall and my music room. I have thick underlayer and hick carpet , I laid the underlayer myself to make sure there are no gaps by the skirting boards. I put a thick Persian style rug ( courtesy of a fellow BCr) under the drums , 6x large DIY 100 mm Rockwool deep bass traps , a thick curtain from ceiling to floor covering the wall shared with spare room, and my neighbours still hear my drums. I also put a Persian style rug in the wall facing the drums. The roof have insulation. I stopped playing them , and sometimes don't touch them for 4 months or more because it bothers one of them. Well my other half said , you should be able to play them day time , I only used to practice for 20-30 mins at the beginning. You can hear them outside during the shut double glazing, it's not the volume that annoys people but the sound they hear. I did everything I could to minimise the noise traveling unfortunately the sound will find it's way out like water. I can equally hear people mowing the lawn with windows shut the neighbours dog barking, its just as noisy in terms of DB like my drums, just different noise. We measured the DB and it was not louder than a lawn mower! Sorry for hijacking the thread , but everything within a reason.

The solution is a cheap mix desk, like Behringer. I'd plug the bass into a mix desk channel one (e.g.) then the output from mix desk L channel in scarlet input 1 and right channel in Scarlet input 2. You can use the spare channels on mix desk to run background /backing tracks. Download OBS , it's free and you can record and broadcast live on Facebook, YouTube etc with a superb quality. Plenty of tutorials on you tube. Nit sure if this answers your questions. This is one of the tutorials I used for OBS

Best - wireless G10 and tech21 SansAmp Steve Harris signature (best thing ever). Worst- the title says bass, right? Practise bass drum pad with a pedal..it was cheap as chips almost new. The pedal is ok but the pad bit as bouncy as real bass drum skin.

Iron Maiden has one original member, went through many changes since 75, when they reached the peak ( with fans favourite line up), things started to reverse , Adrian gone, Bruce gone. I thought it would be only Steve and Dave left, but luckily they are back , mightier. Sepultura won't be the same without Max and Igor what are they even thinking! Is Napalm Death a completely different line up nowadays?

Sama with Billy Sheehan. I use p and jazz basses to achieve the sound, with Geddy Lee the tone is slightly rolled off on jazz bass. Amps and compressor have same setting, but the Tech 21 settings change to get desired sound.

I used to work on a restaurant and they played the same disc over and over. Saturdays it was a 14-15 your shift and Sundays 6 hours. Luckily I only worked the weekends. When I worked in the supermarket, they would play the same fooking Christmas cd hits over the Christmas period, my ears suffered for 40 hours a week. Super dry shops usually blast the music.
