1. Bought this brand new in August this year, never gigged, recorded with it at the weekend and it did a grand job. Only reason for sale is I'm going down the BFM route and so this has to go. I'll get some photos up by the weekend but it's in excellent condition and deserves a good home! I'm based in Sheffield and the cab is at our rehearsal room so anyone is welcome to come and try it out with their own gear or mine. Collection only based on the size of the cab, or I can meet you somewhere for petrol money. I'm asking for [s]£270[/s] £200 for this cab. In the unlikely event you've never heard of this cab, here is the tech spec: Power Handling 650W continuous, 900W programme Speaker Configuration 4 x 10" + HF horn Frequency Response 70Hz - 20kHz Impedance 8 Ohms SPL 103dB 1W @ 1m H x W x D (mm) 661 x 610 x 420 Weight (kg) 36
2. Hi Phil I'm building myself a Pearl Octave clone at the minute that will do two octaves down, one octave down, clean, and one octave up. Should be finished in a week or so as I'm just waiting for a few parts, I'm only down in Sheffield so if you want I'll let you know when I'm done if you want to try it? Cheers T
3. Still no-one biting, bump for a price drop - £200
4. This amp is even nicer in the flesh and sounds absolutely awesome. Have a bump from me kiddo!
5. I'll be honest, my wife would have my nuts if I brought another bass home, plus I'm pretty sorted in the stringed department, I'm really only after the cash or an ABM 4x10 trade, but cheers though!
6. I put a price on the sub-heading, it must not have transferred across when the website changed, £200 for this thing, it's five weeks old, still has the plastic film on the logo it's that new...
7. Ha! You keep your coat lad, the lack of humour is mine and mine alone!
8.
MB1. TAXI!
What did I miss.....

10. Picture added! No trades for this by the way, unless you happen to be looking to move an ABM 4x10 in which case let's talk!
11. Ashdown ABM 115 Cabinet, the full-size one. Bought it in conjunction with a matching 4x10 cab last month but I prefer the 10's so this is going to go. Never been gigged, used for about 4 rehearsals and it lives in the rehearsal room so it hasn't been lugged about loads. Sounds great, it just isn't my bag. The Ashdown website still says that these are 300 watt, but I am led to believe by Electro Music in Donny that they are now in fact 500 watts, and the cab has a black driver rather than the standard Blueline one. I'm not selling it on that basis though as I don't have absolute concrete proof, but worth mentioning. If anyone can shed any light on that t'would be cool.... Collection from Sheffield, or I can meet you somewhere nearby, or I can courier it at your cost. I am easy. Pictures going up this week, but it really is as new so you can save yourself a bit of cash and save the room in your bin that would be taken up by the massive box it would come in brand new Spiel here - http://www.ashdownmusic.com/bass/detail.as...n=abm&ID=15 EDIT: Price didn't move across with new website - £200 SOLD
12. These are still available, first person to say £250 to me gets them. Otherwise make me an offer.... I no longer work in Tamworth (thank god) so collection from Sheffield, meet me near Sheffield, or courier at your cost. Pictures actually definitely going up this week!
13. Cheers fellas!
14. Hi all I've got a spare 15" speaker I was going to use when building a drum monitor, but it has a small tear in the diaphragm near the outside edge. I'd estimate the tear is about 1cm long and not very wide, couple of mm max. A stray screwdriver did the damage, rookie error indeed. How would I patch this tear up to maintain the efficiencies of the speaker? Is it worth doing or am I likely to make the driver less useful by doing so? Any advice greatfully appreciated, I know pretty much nothing about speakers other than the bits where the red and black cables attach to... Thanks T
15. Upgrade from cars to van means I no longer have need for these ultra-mini cabs. They are the old school ones with the square handles on the side rather than the newer round handle ones, and the 1x15 has had the driver upgraded to a Celestion Orange Series neo. They've been gigged extensively but always looked after, so they have some scuffs and dings but they are sonically in excellent nick. Collection would be best as they would cost a bit to ship I imagine, I'm based in Sheffield but I'm working near Tamworth at the minute, so I could arrange something on the M42/M1 no problem. £300 for the pair. I'd rather not split but there's no harm in asking. Pictures up at the weekend! EDIT - Price drop - £250 EDIT - Price drop - £200
16. Thumpinator. Quite honestly the first thing I would replace if my board got stolen. I found my sound tightened up immensely and have more "presence" in the mix. I use presence in speech marks as it is a sh*te descriptive word, but you should get the point!
17. Facebook Event! Awesome gig on the main stage of the finest rock club in all the land. If you are in the vicinity of Yorkshire, the North, the Midlands or this side of the channel then you really should be attending this gig. If not, click the myspace link below and have a listen to our songs
18.
Took me a while to finish this one but here is the final result. We have a shocking gutshot of the soft underbelly revealing just how disorganised my wiring is. The Mosfet boost circuit vero can be seen peeking out on the left of the tubescreamer board. The tubescreamer has the 1meg gain pot that the Keeley mod uses, to extend range of available overdrive. We have selectable toggle switches for 2 different diode clipping stages - standard Si or LED which gives a louder harsher distortion. We have a toggle switch for the AMZ 'Phat Boost' mod which switches in a larger value input cap to allow big fat slugs of bass through, this makes the pedal suitable for use as a bass guitar overdrive/distortion too. The 2 toggle switches each have a red/yellow bicolor LEd to show the status. Mosfet boost switches in an extra 10 or 12db of boost after the tubescreamer to act as a solo boost and really crank up the input of a valve preamp. All in all a fiddly build but a pleasing end result.
Love the finish on this, and the mods will make it massively versatile. How does it perform?

20.
Nice board, and great explanation
Cheers dude I'm hoping to get some time over the next fortnight to finish the mic pre-amp and build the uber-muff!
21. Been meaning to post this for a while. Signal chain is: Line 6 wireless > Custom Loop and Tuner Mute > (Loop out) > Custom Bass Boost > MXR Octave > Bass Big Muff > Small Stone > (Loop in) > SFX Thumpinator > Amp The other stuff on there is a mic splitter (under the thumpinator), in-ears transmitter, 18v power converter for the in-ears, Diago power supply (under the converter). I'm also yet to put a mini mic pre-amp on there, which will squeeze on top of the in-ears next to the wireless. I wanted all this extra stuff actually on the board rather than elsewhere at the back of the stage, makes things much simpler!!! The MXR Octave is the only one of the four effects that isn't being upgraded at some point, although I plan on putting it in a blended loop (don't know where that will go though!!) similar but simpler to the x&m as Octaving the low D string (I'm 99% of the time in drop D) is unnecessary and the tracking struggles a bit lower than the A. The Bass Boost is great but I shall tweak it until I die probably. The Muff is being replaced by a home-made Green Russian clone with a clean blend. The Small Stone, as much as I love it, will ultimately be replaced by a home-made Phase 100 with umpteen mods on it. That's all pipeline stuff though, and my wife recently giving birth has hampered my bid for total home-made glory. Haha! Tuner is out of line obviously as I found it sapped like a mofo! Was going to get the pitch black but simply added a tuner output on the loop pedal so the tuner is completely separate. Thumpinator. If you don't have one, buy one. First thing I would replace if this lot got stolen.
22. Hi guys The new EP from my band StoneRun is up on myspace HERE as well as a selection of songs from our first two EP's. It was all done ourselves with no time-stretching, vocal tuning or any of that malarkey (we are a rock band after all) and was the first chance I've had to get my Shuker on record! There is also an accompanying video to the new song "Tainted" on youtube HERE which was edited by yours truly. There is a slight epilepsy warning as it has more strobes than a crap fairground ride! Check it out if you get chance! Cheers Tom
