I went back to Trace Elliot last year after a 10 year hiatus. It really does sound great, but it was the weight that did me. What a great rig you've put together there.
Ahh Thank you to be fair the 4x10 is the heaviest and the amp head , the horn and 2x10 are light, yep i spent alot of time and ebay/basschat watching to get this , and now im commited to a new rig every time i play this i love it , but my house and bank aint big enough to have the two. horn unit sold and the 2x10 is on hold till wednesday , i will get the trace again one day im sure but i think my new rig will take care if my needs.!!!!

 14.
In which case you should probably consider only have your bass(es) out of their cases/gig bags when you are playing them.
yeah true guys the trace heads are the smx 400 heads in the rack . great heads.
 15.
I've never got this idea that some gigs are too risky to take your expensive gear to. Unless your instrument has a big well-known name on the headstock no-one is going to know what it is or even vaguely how much more than the well known name it is potentially worth. I've played all sorts of gigs in all sorts of places over the last 20 years with my high-end gear (Gus, Overwater, Sei) without any problems. Any place where I thought that there might be a danger that my instrument would be stolen or badly damaged I would also consider that my person was in danger too and therefore I wouldn't be playing there at all.
yeah true , just sort of been cross lately will the boys in the band too walking about the stage etc setting up and setting down , looks like ill be going for better cabs anyways now. !!!
 16.
A very decent repray/re-fin on a £2000 plus bass makes a lot more sense than it would on a £500 bass seeing as the re-fin would cost almost all of that anyway.
dude whio on earth is that in youre profile picy? Jazz 5 needs work on .. nut, brigde saddles9mayb change to individual, neck bolts and little noisey on the electrics. was thinking of getting the sei 6 re-finished.
 17. hi all situation so far... yup im gonna put my custom jazz 5 in for repair /upgrade and my spector usa is going, and may look into getting rid of my cabs only and changing them .9keep my trace heads. the wood and tronics is a keeper lots of sounds , the two seis are keepers .. just lovely and the custom jazz 5 is weird as it feels and seems quite special to me , gresat sound too once its sorted.. but i could also buy with my moneis any second hand high end bass on here or ...... a 4 and 5 string erou spector as well as a yamha john myung 6 string !!!!! lets see what happens.
 18. Hi Have you any pictures of the back, and is the brigde tarnished like it looks? kindest regards ziggy.
 19. Hi all , i will soon be having a great chance to buy /order a high end bass but also realised that for the same dough i could get a 4,5 and a 6 string set of basses that i could tinker with and get eveything on them right. obviouly i have two nice seis a wood and tronics 5 and a jazz custom 5 , but at pub gigs im increasinly getting worried about them being damaged . so if i had a single bass worth alot i was thinking it may pay to get 3 basses for less value but still great instruments and use them as workhorses in the pub gigs that i do. whata rekon all? kindest regards ziggy.
 20. Hi all anyone know what these are like to play, and sound like ?. i really like the look of them regards zigs.
 21.
BUMP for pricedrop.
dude if i had what i paid /traded this for id have it back tomorrow but no funds as of yet , try keep it dude . doubt wether youll get a euro like this without spendinfg out for a doug wimbush one. people this bass is the nuts ... (i just got a sei4 to replace it), thats the only reason i moved it on.
 22.
Still available !
recently picked up a wood and tronics Chronos and it is a beast . bump for a beutiful bass mmm i could be interested in a pair!!!
