Damn good stuff! True, Trace Elliot gear does weigh a tonne...actually 2 tonnes...But it don't half sound nice! The sheer power, volume, headroom and EQ response from these are hard to beat...My motto with this stuff is once it's down on the floor, your no longer carrying it and the weight doesn't matter. The tone will delight your ears and make you forget haha!
cheers dude i know BUMP for some serious price drops pm me with offers i have to shift these units due to wifey going mad and nowhwere to store so....PM me with youre fair offers fror some exellent trace elliot gear!!!! regards ziggy.
The floor boards must be sagging under the weight of that lot !!!!! I went back to Trace Elliot last year after a 10 year hiatus. It really does sound great, but it was the weight that did me. What a great rig you've put together there.
Ahh Thank you to be fair the 4x10 is the heaviest and the amp head , the horn and 2x10 are light, yep i spent alot of time and ebay/basschat watching to get this , and now im commited to a new rig every time i play this i love it , but my house and bank aint big enough to have the two. horn unit sold and the 2x10 is on hold till wednesday , i will get the trace again one day im sure but i think my new rig will take care if my needs.!!!!

Hi All, never though id sell this but she has to go due to different gear coming in. and my music i play changing. Ive built this up over the last 15 yrs , chopped and changed untill i found the right units. heres the stack ahsmx 400 head 4x10 320 watt cab 2x10 400watt cab 1 horn box and trace pedal (needs new micro switch.) Head ah400smx;- carpet coverd , awesome head soo good i bought two , had this for 15yrs never let me down , am selling in the 4 unit warwick rack case and i also have the carpet coverd wooden unit it goes in too. £350.00 (£325 without the warwick rack case), Rack case £30.00 on its own. 4x10 carpet coverd, some marks wear due to age , its the nicer one with the trace writing on the speakers. £140.00 ono. 2x10 new vynal model , awesome cab am very tempted to keep this as its perfect for small gigs and rehersals, good condition , one nick in the front. £250.00 ono.back up for sale. Horn unit (not bright box) NOW SOLD Id really prefer some one to come collect the whole rig and have a beast in one go . dont mind splitting the rig but id rather not. i have interest already and will find out tomorrow about that ,i have to use this rig this weekend then it is available to buy enjoy . i certainly have for many years. Note the 2nd head in the picys is gone. kindest regards ziggy.\ OFFER Me UP YOu MAy BE SurPrised!!

1 high end bass or 3 good basses for same dough?
ziggydolphinboy replied to ziggydolphinboy's topic in General Discussion
In which case you should probably consider only have your bass(es) out of their cases/gig bags when you are playing them.
yeah true guys the trace heads are the smx 400 heads in the rack . great heads. -
I've never got this idea that some gigs are too risky to take your expensive gear to. Unless your instrument has a big well-known name on the headstock no-one is going to know what it is or even vaguely how much more than the well known name it is potentially worth. I've played all sorts of gigs in all sorts of places over the last 20 years with my high-end gear (Gus, Overwater, Sei) without any problems. Any place where I thought that there might be a danger that my instrument would be stolen or badly damaged I would also consider that my person was in danger too and therefore I wouldn't be playing there at all.
yeah true , just sort of been cross lately will the boys in the band too walking about the stage etc setting up and setting down , looks like ill be going for better cabs anyways now. !!! -
A very decent repray/re-fin on a £2000 plus bass makes a lot more sense than it would on a £500 bass seeing as the re-fin would cost almost all of that anyway.
dude whio on earth is that in youre profile picy? Jazz 5 needs work on .. nut, brigde saddles9mayb change to individual, neck bolts and little noisey on the electrics. was thinking of getting the sei 6 re-finished. -
