Traded - Spector Euro5 Dark Cherry - Lovely!
ziggydolphinboy replied to MoJoKe's topic in Basses For Sale

Hi all , i will soon be having a great chance to buy /order a high end bass but also realised that for the same dough i could get a 4,5 and a 6 string set of basses that i could tinker with and get eveything on them right. obviouly i have two nice seis a wood and tronics 5 and a jazz custom 5 , but at pub gigs im increasinly getting worried about them being damaged . so if i had a single bass worth alot i was thinking it may pay to get 3 basses for less value but still great instruments and use them as workhorses in the pub gigs that i do. whata rekon all? kindest regards ziggy.

Hi all anyone know what these are like to play, and sound like ?. i really like the look of them regards zigs.
Behold... It's not quite ready for me yet - that's not the final neck (the final neck will have an unlined fingerboard) but hopefully this provides suitable Sei pr0n for the time being - it certainly has for me.
oh my !!!!!!!!
Ah, can't figure it. Your eq looks relatively 'flat' like. You might be trying too hard- maybe just one rig, and are your basses active? Maybe you have too much eq stages and they're stepping on each other, cancelling out some of your more useful signal?
hiya , yep both basses are active , but with the trace heads ive set them to passive and just adjudted the gain control so they dont overlaod, i ran the 4x10 through one head and the 2x10 and the horn through the other , it really sounded good untill the band started ! and its hard to be restrained when you know you are a tad queit !(no sound engineeer). then the ex bass player of the band saif to e there were certain bnotes he couldnt hear . mayb sour grapes. !!!!
I have. Still waiting until I get my Barefaced Compact before sticking it up on here again, which is going to be about a week and a half from now. I've also got an AH250 MkV head back from the menders so will have that available too. 'Best head they ever made' said the guy in the Trace Elliot authorised service centre in Southend.... not so many bells and whistles as some heads but the tone is just hmmmm I *think* Thornybank has already registered an interest in both but will check once I am ready to dispose of them. Certainly Essex is nearer than Scotland.
ok dude , sold my 1x15 and regret it already! could you give me the trace authorised repaiere number please as my 400 head could do with a service! many thanks ziggy. -

I think i know the answer to this one but i wanna put it out there..... selling / trading a bass (or anything bass related )on basschat (now/since i found it) seems simply = right, honest , interesting, gentalmanly and just blatanty fair. so morally im struglling,,,, i could sell a bass on ebay,or shop comission sale and get A. a quicker sale b. more money. or do i hold the bass and sell it to a nice bass player on here that wants it and hope that when i have done a bass that i want will become/still be available? answers as quick as you like people of the bass world!!!!!! kindest regards ziggy.
Yeah, it runs right the way up from top to tail. A rather beautiful addition which reminds me of some of the Ritter basses I've seen, like the last one on this page
had this bass for a while absolutely loved it (it made me buy my usa 5 string spector) the tone on this bass imho is better than my usa spectoR!! would buy it back again had to trade it to get my sei 4 , but this is the closest youll get to a. a usa spector and b. a doug wimboush model for under a grand , this is a very early chech spector and was advised that the through body wings and the neck etc are a bit speciel, i upgraded to gold knobs!!! enjoy!!!!
