A Germanium-based dirty boost/very light overdrive, suitable for both Guitar and Bass. Very hard to get hold of as they've been discontinued. I have been advised that this is one of the 1st 10 made. Bass demo on video: Guitar Demo on video: http://video.google....810051697071034 Heres some chatter about it on The Gear Page: http://www.thegearpa...ad.php?t=252199 Its in full working order, but a little crackly when the pots are turned and has velcro on the bottom. Its been well used and some of the writing is starting to fade. Sounds great though, especially pushing valves. SOLD

So I bought a Epiphone Valve Jr, although I thought it was cool, It wasnt particularly bass-friendly so I sent it to UMPH to see what he could do, this is the result: I've been using it on both Guitar and Bass - its MUCH easier to overdrive on bass and you can get everything from fat warm motown sounds to fuzzed-out epic doom tones. Great for home practice and recording, but of course 5w only goes so far, especially on bass. I turned the head around in the chassis so the black grille is now at the front. I also took off the Epiphone logo and superglued it to the grille. I also replaces the knobs. Due to the size of the Simms-Watts-style knobs, I had to leave a little ga[ between the chassis and the front panel, but its not noticable but thought i'd mention it anyway. layout on front panel is - 5-Position High-Pass Switch, Gain Switch, Input Jack, Bright Switch, Gain, High Cut, Master. On the back the switch controls whether the dummy load is in play and the new jack is the line out. All switches are on in the up position and off in down. Make sure the dummy load isn't on when you're not using it because it'll reduce the power and the output transformer wont like it. Internally it has mullards and an EL84 according to Umph. I'm looking for £200 including Mainland UK postage (excluding highland and Islands) I live in Northwood, Middlesex (on the Met Line) and would be happy to drive a short distance.

Hey Guys, Got my epiphone ripper up for sale, heres the spec: Epiphone Limited Edition Ripper Bass (Ebony) The Limited Edition Ripper Bass brings back a Gibson favorite of the '70s. It is an Epiphone creation with a hard maple body and matching maple neck and fingerboard. The back of the neck has a satin finish for smooth feel while the fingerboard has a high gloss polyurethane finish that will protect it for years. A brass nut has been added to increase sustain. Another new wrinkle is a split-coil, single-coil pickup combination with individual volumes, master tone, and 3-way switching for greater tonal range. A great bass from the past with its unique styling and custom touches that enhance performance. Epiphone Limited Edition Ripper Bass Ebony Specifications:

'70s Gibson Ripper design
Hard maple body
Hard maple neck
Maple fingerboard
Satin neck finish
Durable polyurethane finish on the fretboard
Brass nut for added sustain
Single-coil/split-coil pickup combination
2 volume controls
Master tone
3-way switching Its in great overall condition and it received a fresh set of Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinkys no too long ago. The only issue is that the switch is a little temperamental and sometimes it doesnt switch to the bridge pickup, but its intermittent and all you do is switch it again and it'll works. probably just needs some contact cleaner. Due to the positioning of the pickups - the P-bass pickup is incredibly deep, but still well defined, and the Bridge pickup is brighter but not too honky to my ears. The combination is viscious
I've a Ripper for a while, but unable to stump up that £1000 or so that the real thing demands these days, I got hold of this, however I do already have a P/J bass and with my small frame I look somewhat silly with this beast.
Cheapest i can see is online for £299

SOLD
Any Questions let me know.

Regarding the Devi Ever stuff - I've tried and owned a few including the Supermassive BlackHole/Bass Fuzz, Dark Boost, VFM, Anema(spelling?), Year of the Ratt and Torn's Peaker. The Supermassive BlackHole is pretty good and the Dark Boost can be ok but more often than not I hate it. My favourite fuzzes on bass: Russian Big Muffs (currently own a 'tall font' Sovtek Muff) Blackout Musket V2 in the 'hi' loop of a [SFX] X&M - gives a fantastic guitar-like distortion/fuzz but you've got all your low - just distorted attack. W&C Pickle Pie B - now its not that this sounds the prettiest solo'd but set how I like it (volme:MAX, Fuzz:MIN, Tone: about 1 o'clock, Blend: Start at minimum (all clean)then bring in the fuzz until its loud enough. Colorsound Jumbo Tonebender: I had a 90's RI, it had a really great midrange that made is sound so awesome on bass but unfortunately didnt have the lows. Coloursound Bass Fuzz - Sweet, smooth and Synthy - can get the tone control up to 3 o'clock before you loose low end but the Mid Scoop is Massive and often leaves you lost in a mix, [SFX] Micro Fuzz - Similar to the above but better made, smaller (Much, much smaller) and has an LED and can run on a power supply other than batteries (unlike the coloursound) - Max is also including a Mid Switch (possibly 3 position - as it was on my SFX Burninator) which sorts out the scoop issues nicely. There are more like the Corvid Fuzz - which I loved, and the Fuzzrocious Green Stache and the Soniv IV Champion Fuzz which all deserve a mention. Also Dan, whilst the MXR Bass Fuzz may be based on a tonebender, I'm not sure if it says which one (theres quite a few to choose from!)

Hey Guys and Gals, Got my Probass Aero1 up for sale. I bought it new in February 2011 as a sweet-looking backup bass - fortunately the tone was bang on too, but now i need money and dont need a back-up bass. At the moment, Probass are only offering Ric-style basses and the Aero series is discontinued. This is a great playing and sounding bass in my opinion and looks fantastic - the visuals are borrowed from the Fender Aerodyne but it also has block inlays! worth mentioning: I bought the bass new, but for some reason, when both pickups are on full, the phase cancellation between the pickups is extreme, however the individual pickups sound great and i just used the p-bass pickup. I'm sure it could be sorted out with soldering a wire somewhere else but i dont know where or how! The bass as two holes either side of the bridge for a jazz-style chrome bridge cover which has been removed and is not offered in the sale. The original string were horrible and i ended up replacing them with a set of £40 neon green DR strings that i bought from the Bass Cellar earlier in the year - obviously these strings are sounding a little dead now and i would recommend replacing them. Now for pics: Pricing: I would like £150 collected from Northwood, Middlesex (Metropolitan Line) - i do drive and could deliver a short distance for petrol money. I am also happy to post to mainland UK only at a cost of £20.

The B7k is AMAZING, i love the B3K as well but the extra eq on the B7K takes what i love about the B3K and just adds more of what i love....I only wish i could afford either!
