Another fanatstic sale completed through this great forum! Just bought a Boss GT-6B of Mark there and have to say he's a real decent guy. Very easy to deal with. Very impressed with the item, but even more so by the attention to detail in the delivery. Mark posted it out to me in N.I. and made a really thorough and professional job of it, no courier was gonna damage that for sure. This level of service never goes unappreciated. So have no fears in your dealings with this fellow Basschatter, a real pleasure for me all round. The GroovyPlucker

That's a good price, have my CMD 121H up on here too [shameless hijack, but you do get a bump ] Have taken charge of said Orange Terror Bass Head just today, have the SP212 to go with it [2x12 Cab] and have to say from first noodling it's class, comes with it's own wee gig bag too, looks like a toaster in a caddy! Good luck with the trade/sale The GroovyPlucker

Boxed & In excellent condition, less than a year old, been in my flightcase constantly, has been used/gigged, great piece of kit. £125 Inc of Postage Korg, who created the world's first rack-mountable tuners, now the new DTR-2000, a must-have item for the professional musician, packed with essential features for pro-guitar performance. "The consistency of the Korg Metronomes and Tuners is unparalleled. The DTR-2000 Tuner is my favorite! I love the readout and the accuracy of this tuner. On stage it is perfect for it's accuracy and visibility. It also has a very cool look that even the fans often notice." (Lee Ritenour) • Chromatic Mode detects note name automatically • Three types of display: "cents", "hertz", or "strobe" • Seven-semitone flat tuning mode • Sound Out mode allows tuning in the range of C2-C5 • Input and Output jacks • Adjustable Calibration of 438–445 Hz • Built in mic supports acoustic guitar tuning • Illumination function lights up rack-mounted equipment below • Dimensions: 18.94"(W) x 4.45"(D) x 1.81"(H) • Weight: 3.09 lbs Rack-mountable tuner The DTR-2000 has been re-designed for even better visibility from a distance when you're on stage. The LED tuning indicator moves as smoothly as a needle. The brightness increases as you approach the correct pitch, and a blue LED will light in the center when you reach the exact tuning, for unmistakable confirmation. There's a large sixteen-segment note display, and the DTR-2000 features a string indicator in addition to the note display when GUITAR/BASS modes are used. In addition to the conventional indication in "cent" units, the DTR-2000 also displays the detected pitch in "hertz", allowing twice the sensitivity of the "cent" display for even more precise tuning. You can also use a "strobe" display that indicates the difference between the input sound and the correct pitch by the left/right movement of a light. You can select either "cent" or "strobe" display for tuning and the DTR-2000 also provides a white LED lamp that points downward, illuminating any equipement placed below the DTR-2000 in a rack. Tuning modes that support a wide range of playing styles The DTR-2000 provides a Chromatic mode in which the note name is detected automatically, as well as Guitar (with support for 6-string and 7-string guitars), Bass, and Open Tuning modes in which you specify the note name that will be detected. Open tunings frequently used for slide guitar or finger picking styles are supported, including open D/E/G/A, as well as the popular DADGAD tuning. The DTR-2000 also supports the flatted tunings used to give the sound greater depth. The seven-semitone flatted tuning mode provides for dropped tunings all the way from one-semitone down to a maximum of seven-semitones below standard pitch– a worldwide first. Two semitones lower than the five-semitone flatted tuning supported by Korg's previous guitar tuner. Sound Out mode In addition to visual tuning using the meter, the DTR-2000 provides a Sound Out mode that allows you to tune while hearing a reference pitch in the range of C2-C5. This reference pitch can be output from your amp, allowing all band members to check their tuning as well. Input and output jacks The DTR-2000 provides INPUT 1 and 2 jacks that allow two devices to be connected for tuning. In addition to a Mute jack that is convenient for on-stage tuning, a latch-type (alternating) foot switch can be connected to conveniently switch muting on/off. INPUT1 and MUTE jacks are also provided on the front panel for easy access. A mic is also included in the front panel, allowing acoustic guitars to be tuned. The rear panel provides INPUT1, INPUT2, SOUND OUT, OUTPUT, AND MUTE jacks. Adjustable Calibration The Calibration function supports a variety of standard pitches, and can be adjusted in 1 Hz steps over a range of 438-445 Hz. The Auto Reference Calibration function detects the pitch of an instrument and sets that pitch as the reference pitch. (Accommodates a range of 428 Hz - 452 Hz)

MARKBASS Driving me nuts, what combination???
The GroovyPlucker replied to The GroovyPlucker's topic in Amps and Cabs
Just another thought. My CMD121P is still here - the one I didn't sell you. You could try that as an extension cab ( amp disconnnected) to give an approximate idea of the sound you'd get. It would be less impressive than a 121H cab because the volume is much less but still, might be worth a try before you spend more cash? (I'm glad you didn't end up buying mine now because I would feel bad at you not liking it - LOL) Also, there's a guy selling a 2 x 10 combo with 1 x 15 cab in Whitehead. Check gumtree. Frank.
I checked that ad on gumtree but I think it's sold or something, there was some reason why I didn't get in touch, but I'll have another look, Thanks again frank -
MARKBASS Driving me nuts, what combination???
Here's my tuppence worth.... Don't judge the Markbass gear too quickly. Take your time and get used to it. Play a few rehearsals, use it on a smaller gig. Try different settings, especially try the VLE and VPF filters. Let your ears get used to a totally different sound from your old rig. I disagree with those who think the Markbasss gear isn't warm sounding. To my ears, it is warm and as close to valve sounding as any small SS amp I've heard. I have no desire to buy a tube amp. I just prefer the clean but warm sound I have now. Valve amp lovers will never agree with that, so it's each to his own I suppose. Beedsters suggestion of a a Tech 21 or similar is good advice. I have a sansamp programmable DI box. It does warm things up if that's your preference but I rarely use it. I find the Markbass sound to be OK as it is. I just tweak the EQ on the amp. The 121H is a loud combo on its own once you get used to getting the best from it. I've had several Markbass cabs. I would say, if you want more volume and just a "bigger" sound, get the matching 1 x 12 cab 121H. You could knock walls down with that pairing. It's only my opinion, but I wouldn't bother with any other cab with the combo you already own - except the 121H cab. IMO, you don't need more power than the LMII gives. I've used mine ( and a LM I before that) for years in all sorts of venues and never been underpowered. If you need to go louder than that, then the PA has got to be the answer or your hearing will suffer. BTW, I have a Barefaced Compact 1 x 15 cab and a Barefaced Midget on the way. These are excetional cabs and very lightweight. You're welcome to try them if it helps your quest for "light and loud". I use and LM II amp for this. I hope this is of some help and that you evenually get on with your Markbass gear. I think you just need to give it time. Frank.
Cheers frank, I see there's someone on here selling a barefaced 1x15. still can't see past my 1x15, 2x10 set up, I'm blinkered, would also like to keep same manufacturer on stage, I'm a bugger for stage presentation and it would look really tidy, as long as it does what I want, lol,
