    true, but again that's on the more expensive units with more presets, would go that way if I could afford, have to get a tuner & distortion pedal yet, will only get about £80 for my Zoom B3 now, just seen an EHX Bass Soul Food which looks to do all I want Distortion/Gain wise, ohhh, monies, monies,monies, still have to finance a big baby 2 cab as well....

    yeah, just looking at the meris, very expensive again, all roads pointing to the EHX for now, plus don't want a pedal where I have to be phaffing about dialling in all the time, one with some presets would be grand, although the ehx has onlt 1, I think I can live with it, the Future Impact would probably be the one next when I've saved my paper round money.....

    I'd go future impact but it's soooo expensive, £115 vs £300+ is an algorithm that favours the former with me at the mo...

    cheers again guys for the suggestions, I might just jump in with the new Electro Harmonix Mono Bass synth, seems to have most of what I want, probably playing with a keyboard player, but many 80's bass lines have a synth bass and keys, i,e, Whitney Houston, will have a check of all mentioned, next will be a chorus & gain/distortion pedal possibly, oh jeez!!!!

    Cheers, ray Jones, not sure I want to get bogged down in too many pedals, but appreciate your comments, I've thought about that OC-2 before, but might just go down the lazy route and try and get a semi decent dedicated synth pedal, just which one, love the fretless & synth combo, pino is amazing.....

    Hey all, Looking recommendations for a very good Bass Synth pedal. Starting to play a lot of 80's pop, I have a Zoom B3, but as with other multi fx boxes the synth has a real bad latency, so for songs with a lot of quick note movement and pushed notes I find that if you miss the note by a nano second it moves out of phase or drops out etc. Do the stand alone pedals such as the new EHX Bass Mono Synth, MarkBass, BOSS SYB have a better latency situation, or is it just my bad playing. I see the guy in the EHX vid doing fast movements n bends etc and the pedal reproducing smooth synth waves. So for 80's pawp what's a good synth pedal, need a lot of variations in wave shape too Your thoughts would be appreciated

    it's a superb amp Soledad, probably give everything a Trace could deliver, and maybe more, the gain section is brilliant.....

    Just contemplating letting my Barefaced Big Twin go on to someone who needs an all in one cab solution. It's in great nick, cover is superb, much better than a Roqsolid IMHO, has however some damage at the bottom from being wheeled where it overlaps (pictured). Looking a Big Baby II, poss x2 Midget's, probably gen 1 or 2, again poss a Super Compact, all with a cash adjustment my way. Am looking to have two smaller cabs, poss x2 Big Baby's etc. Hit me with what you've got, really only interested in Barefaced but you never know. Postage on this will obviously be high, somewhere in the region of £50 couriered & Insured but have the secure box it came in, unless you're local to Northern Ireland that is. Most people know what this cab is and what it offers, it's huge & immense, I currently use it with a MarkBass Ninja 1000w head, very clear & punchy, but should be able to handle anything thrown at it. HERE'S THE SPECS: DIMENSIONS 36" high x 21" wide x 16" deep 90cm x 53cm x 40cm WEIGHT 57 lbs (26kg) BROADBAND SENSITIVITY 98dB - similar to a conventional boutique 2x12" USABLE FREQUENCY RANGE 30Hz - 22kHz RECOMMENDED AMP POWER 300-1500W RMS MAXIMUM LF & BROADBAND OUTPUT 127dB -similar to a high quality 6x10" or 4x12" but with bigger lows NOMINAL IMPEDANCE 4 ohms

    Cheers Jack, I bought one of your Midget's ages ago, should've bought both, regret letting it go, The Big Twin is great in the mids and not overpowering in the bass, which is what I'm after, although the MB Ninja head is great in the mids too, still thinking of trading the BTT for BB2 though as I'd probably have enough with one of them with 800w handling until I can afford to add anymore, unless I see two Gen 1-2 midgets up for grabs as I think two midgets would cover a lot of bases

    Frank, is the super compact as bassy as the gen 1 compact or is it more rounded?

    Is the Super Compact similar to the gen 1 compact, which was a 15" speaker and more Bass heavy, preferred the tight n more mid sound of the midget which is why I broke up that original 2 piece combo

    cheers guys, haven't used any of the gen 3 12" speakers, have tried the gen 1&2 midgets which were 12's and found one on it's own great, so thought that might be an option too, plus they're super light, is the Super Midget a 12"?

    Cheers Frank, always useful advice you give, it is the convenience of the 2 cab scenario I'm contemplating, am actually going for an audition on Wednesday night with a band you know, Conspiracy, I believe you know the ex Bass Player, seen the vids and he's an awesome player, some boots to fill, strangely enough has the same FSR PJ Precision I have too!! They use keys and have a big sound and it's that scenario I need to fill, I see he used a Markbass 1x15 & 2x10, that was always my fave combo. I might stick the big twin up for sale, see one went for near £900 recently, use the proceeds to get a BB2, sounds like the way to go, although I've always wanted to try x2 midgets, early gens, as i found them really great, very loud n tight, gen 1 Compact I found too bassy, Cheers Mark

    Hey, I'm in two minds at the mo here. Previously had a Gen 1 Compact & Gen 2 Midget combo with a GB Streamliner 900, was great, but wanted a tad more oomph (btw I found the compact G1 too bassy, might well have been the GB 900 which has also been described as this), so went for a Big Twin T which is awesome, now use it with a MarkBass Ninja 1000w. I do like a big presence on stage or at rehearsal, especially with a big band with Keys, which always really fill out a room. I don't drive and rely on lifts and the Big Twin is oft not easy to travel with so was thinking of going back to two cabs, obviously handier for small gigs, even big ones if there's adequate monitoring on stage......so the question is x2 Big Baby 2's, even though one can handle 800w still think I'd like the security of another cab. Or x2 Gen 1 or 2 Midget's, liked their sound before and they're 12's if I remember rightly, or a BB" & Midget or 1x10. I play covers, mainly 80's pop/rock, but can often need to belt out with a Classic Rock combo, hence why I got the bigger cab in the 1st place Your thoughts would be appreciated. Mark

    Just completed a trade with Chris, sadly there was an issue with the amp I sent him but thankfully resolved quickly, no dramas. Chris is a superb guy to deal with, honest, straight-forward and completely trustworthy. Check his band Witch Tripper on FB. As easy a transaction as I've ever had on these pages. Cheers, Mark

    the Markbass is huge, as was the genz benz streamliner 900, just comes down to the voicing of each individual amp, the gb was very bass heavy, the mb is a bit more even, tad more mids, never heard the tecamps

    always wanted to try one of these, although the 1000w seems good too, if I hadn't just taken a Markbass Little Ninja 1000w in a trade I'd be really interested, GLWTS anyway.....

    fretmeister, it's very light but can pump some serious volume and tone, one of the lightest and easiest necks on a 5 string I've played, and I've really small hands, beautiful bass and an amazing price, I'm not on a commission by the way, lol

    No there aren't for some reason, poss lost over time, been sitting in my roof space for 7-8 years maybe more, sorry, sure they're easy enough to pick up....
