  1. I've got some USA g&l S if you want to try
  2. Sorry about that. ive had two and they do vary my first, an early 4003, did not have the tone but my second and current 4003, a 2004, has "that" tone in spades both were jazz type weight at 9/10lbish think about changing yours for another
  3. To anyone that hasn't tried a ric, you really should I agree that the 4003s is probably more comfortable and I prefer the dotted board. Ive got a 4003 and it's all about the tone. I have not been able to find any other bass that can replicate that 4003 ric tone with both pups, it's truly unique, instant Chris squire. If you get a good one, unlike Fenders there seems to be no advantage in buying vintage, you should be able to buy at around £1200 and sell back for the same, after you've satisfied your curiosity.
  4. Sorry Emmanuele, do you accept part exchanges for your bass? thanks
  5. You mean 80s, production started in 1982 and many reckon the 82 to 85 period was the best, before they moved from the Fullerton factory
  6. I take all my amps and speakers out, but there are some basses that I wouldn't take out recently I had to talk myself in to taking my mint Fender Tony jacklin fretless out for a jazz gig glad I did, that jazz pup on its in turned me in to a wizard soloist - made it a delight and made it easy to solo - never felt that way about soloing before to be repeated
  7. Moulded earplugs bought from a qualified audiologist is the way to go not cheap but priceless if you value your hearing and wish to help avoid tinnitus
  8. Revealing that no one has mentioned Fender roscoe beck 5
  9. I don't understand if it's so great why has it sold 3 times within a month?
  10. Is this the same bass? one sold on eBay for about £500, one was up for sale for about £750 now this one ive never seen a mm jap before now in the space of a couple of months I see three could be like buses or it could all be the same bass if it's the same bass why don't people keep it very long - what's wrong with it inspector Gareth signing off now
  11. Hi here is a 2001 62 AVRI at Andy baxter http://andybaxterbass.com/details.php?id=813 here is photo of pickguard showing truss rod point and of body with guard off i think what you have is a non original guard and it also looks like a route has been made in the body under the truss rod cavity on the guard - both these modifications would allow truss rod adjustment without need to take off neck
  12. Pound for pound, what's the best P bass? FENDER MIM 50'S PRECISION
