2.
except Squier is made by Fender, so it is a Fender product. Skoda is not made by Audi, they just share parent company Not saying it's OK to call a Squier a Fender, but if they call it a "Squier by Fender" I think that's OK.
i hear the Audi a1 has a scoda engine
  3. You are right of course The irony is that many squires and epiphones are now as good as fenders and gibsons

Bought strings from Colin, all good, thanks
  5.
Makes you question why people are buying Road worn when you see something this clean...
oh, don't say that I've just got myself a RW p
  6.
Terrific, under rated basses that are just made for gigging. The only bass on my wish list now is one of these, but white with maple board. Somebody is going to be happy. GLWTS

I agree, I dont think I will ever part with mine. Best bang for buck p bass out there!
well said Important point - it has to be the passive version, like this one
  7.
PJ?
pj is a good idea. Basically a p but you have the extra tone variations afforded by the Jazz bridge pup.
  8. 57 and 62 American vintage reissues
  9.
Nice bass indeed. Agree with NJE. Out in the room, where it counts, a P just seems to sound right. I have a Mex PJ, which is more versatile, but it doesn't quite do the classic P sound. Close, but not quite there.
interested in your pj comment I too have a mex passive pj and playing with just the p pup, it sounds like a p I can't understand why it wouldn't sound like a p?
  10.
My home would be the road, something I've always wanted. I'm single and my kids are working adults, I could get up and leave tonight if the right opportunity presented itself. Blue
if you get the chance, take it You only live once
  11.
Was that aimed at me..?
i don't think so Michael I think he was just saying it shouldn't matter because the music is the thing that matters Now that is true as long as musicians keep to their business, that is music But when they start expressing opinions that they make public on non musical matters, then they open themselves up to scrutiny I remember hearing sting talk about green issues and conservation I put it to you that there is a contradiction about a man concerned with conservation who has some 10 plus holiday properties throughout the world - a person being only able to sleep in one bed at a time, eat three meals a day, drive one car, etc. IMHO "celebrities" should less by example and reject extravagant consumption. Lily Allen is another example, but don't get me started
  12.
Like him or not, his music is really good. http://youtu.be/pG7_gceIFL4
That's it in a nutshell. As long as he is not acting or talking about world conservation issues ( a joke when he owns so much property round the world - one property should suffice), but playing/writing his music, this is where he excels. I still think every breathe is possibly the perfect pop song
  13.
Nooooooooooooo avoid la Plagne and the French maga resorts. whisper it carefully but far better value going to the larger but 'smaller' French resorts. I'm not a piste skier but how much more than 300kms do you need..??
i am doing the catered chalet thingy, £449 all in including flight, transfer, food, wine, accommodation. Chalet right on the piste. And unlike my previous favourite Austria, the pisted are extremely well groomed/pisted.
  14. Be good to include the fact that it is a tribute series bass in the title?
  15. Nicola bought my pre eb Ray Very nice to deal with, good communications and highly recommended
  16.
Sorted. A venue I play every now & then in Milton Keynes have had a Sikh temple move nearby which is trying to get the venue shut down. Many roads/estates in MK they could have moved to but no, has to be next to a music venue then complain about the noise.
absolute madness!
