1. Squire Bullet Bass - 8lbs has proper mustang split pickups and a full 34 inch scale If you want to go lighter - Fender HMT - 7lbs has lace sensor pickups, a bridge piezo and pre-amp and a full 34 inch scale
2. Sold my G&L SB2 to Andy - really nice bloke, good communications - a real pleasure to deal with. Thanks
3. We have absolutely no chance of winning because of the number of other countries that will vote us down however good our entry is. This is I suspect the reason why no division 1 musicians put themselves forward as they do not want to enter something that is not a meritocracy and where they have no chance of winning, as this may damage their career/profile/image/etc
4. rare bass - passive and definitely a p bass rival GLWS
5. "I would nevertheless concur that the faux-liberal public schoolboy 'managers' at the BBC positively revel in the idea of belittling such popular culture as does not fit their template. They burnish their metropolitan image the better to demonstrate how far they are above 'ordinary people'. They look down their noses at the peppy, brightly attired contestants and presenters; they pass arch, spiteful comments and disguise them as 'irony'. The fact is, the BBC hates anything 'common' unless it can make a patronising, paternalistic documentary about it. So that's Eurovision damned because the generally upbeat populism doesn't fit the BBC's glum world view. That's my popular myth subscription, anyway... The BBC's superciliousness may certainly contribute to our lack of success for no one likes to be sneered at; but the mainspring of our failure lies elsewhere. It is merely that established and successful British 'traditional' songwriters are few and far between; even the best of today's crop do not bear comparison with those of yesteryear." Wonderfully observed and so true - thank you - and this is all done with our money, yes the saps like us that pay the license fees - and I include myself here
6. The Eurovision is a joke both in terms of the songs that are presented as representing current music (they do not) and the political/bias nature of the voting which is completely unrelated to the strength/weaknesses of the songs If as a nation we had any pride, we would not take part. This will not happen however as it easy/dumb tv for the BBC and there is a large and willing and dare I say dumb audience ready to lap this crap up.

8. not original A NOTE ON THE USE OF ROSEWOOD AND EBONY, SERIAL NUMBER LOCATION, THE USE OF BLACK EPOXY ON PRE-AMPS, BODY CONTOURING & BRIDGES. Although Rosewood was used for fretless Basses, fretted Rosewood was not introduced as an option until very late 1979 (or very early 1980). At the same time fretless Basses changed from Rosewood to Ebony. with the lack of dot markers on the board it looks like this maybe a fretless that has been fretted?
9. actually the problem seems to be that the G string is almost off the board - unless the camera angle is to blame - but assuming that the camera is square to the bass when the photos were taken it looks like this is a problem?
10. from memory I have seen these pieces of crap selling on ebay before around the £200 mark clearly the ox connection adds another £1000 to this one what a joke
11. I think this was up for sale before on this forum
12. I am afraid that without a good set of photographs POSTED DIRECT TO THESE PAGES and a full and detailed description of your bass POSTED DIRECT TO THESE PAGES nobody will be interested in even considering a purchase.

14. these are killer basses................looking forward to photos
15. Karfler you highlight an important point through your experience. If you use a payal account, you should ALWAYS use it with a credit card and NEVER a bank account The credit card gives you an extra level of protection as your experience highlights - had you used paypal with a bank account it is doubtful whether you would have got your money back
16. I had one of these years ago - the pickups were weak but easily corrected with some replacement pups and pots
17. they are great basses - get one the epiphones are completely different and I cannot comment get a Gibson thunderbird - 76 reissue if you can afford it - but the normal USA tbirds are great
