6. A fantastic show in Southend. Poignant for me as I saw Yes in Southend when they played the old technical college on 24th May 1969 - 44 years ago. At that time I remember being amazed at Chris's bass technique and extraordinary tone and he inspired me to make the change from double bass to bass guitar. I still marvel at his bass playing and I am glad to have been lucky to have seen Chris, Steve and the rest of the band again in southend

Great basses - so much better than the musicmaster as it has proper precision type split pickups as fitted to mustang basses GLWTS
8. they are great basses came in 34" and 30" necks originally made in USA then re-badged squire and made in japan they are a much better sounding bass than a musicmaster as they have mustang (mini-precision type split) pickups specifically designed for bass rather than a strat pickup the bodies are also smaller and as a result very light

15. Thanks for that and what an amazing instrument that is. About the finish, I am no expert, but I think this bass has been refinished at some point. As far as I know, they used to use a wooden stick that was screwed to the neck pocket to hold the body when applying the nitrocellulose finish. That process left an unpainted rectangular mark on the neck pocket, like this: https://www.google.e...917%3B448%3B300 Hope this helps
