1. If this list is the full extent of basses for next year, then there will be greater choice of finish in left hand versions of the EB 4 & 5 then right hand versions.
2. Start of the week, bump!
3. I wonder how long it will be before Adrian gets a call from nasty G's lawyers?
4. Thanks Desmondpot. I really like it too, I hope to replace it with a Rebop 5 of which there are a couple for sale at present, unless someone offers me an irresistible deal for another type of 5. Open to suggestions.
5. Spector Rebop 4Dlx for sale only as I have now bought a 5 string so no longer interested in trades. Believed to be made in 2005, great lightweight curved NS designed body in dark cherry red, striped maple quilt top, crown inlays on fretboard and EMG pickups, Spector tone pump. Tuning keys have been replaced by Hipshot Ultralites. Small scratch mark on lower bout otherwise pretty good condition. Weighs in at a lovely light 3.5kg! Comes with a generic ABS hard case. Can post at cost ( think this will be around £30) or come and collect from Weymouth, Dorset or would be prepared to meet up at a reasonable distance.
6.
Light..... My natural finish IV weighs 7lb exactly.
. If this is all they weigh , I think Gibson are really missing a trick here not quoting it in their specs. There are a lot of bass players out there with back and shoulder problems looking for a lighter weight bass. You just have to look at the number of times that question is asked of Basschatters selling gear. No doubt the problems are brought on by playing heavy basses like Fenders and lugging outsized speaker cabinets around to gigs.
7. Maybe the price is due to the dreadful state of the pound?
8. When I suggested La Bellas, I was referring to no silk at the bridge end. They do have silks at the head end.

10. La Bella Low Tension Flats.
11. Why not buy those rubber cable trunk things people put down when a mains cable is running from a wall plug out to equipment in a room, often seen at conferences?
12. You'd never find this on a darkened stage😆
13. Crowns are much classier IMHO!
14. Handsome bass, sir, love the teal colour.
15. Nicely understated. There isn't anything on Ms website other than in History. Got more info such as woods, weight, controls.
16. Photos back. Good looking bass.
17. Is this a satin or gloss finish, the photos are a bit ambiguous? PM'd re postage.
18. Have your photos disappeared?
19. Well there were a lot disparaging remarks about its design when it came out, but I think they are over-reacting. Sure it bears some similarities to other basses but how many well respected basses are based on either the P or the J? There are certain fundamentals that have to be in a design to make it usable. I have been thinking about getting the five string which is at a knock down price at the moment, presumably because it's not selling that well after all the negative criticism. People on Talkbass in the USA seem to like it. Enjoy it.
20. Had he still been alive, this could easily have been Leo's 4th reincarnation of the P bass I.M.H.O. Love the simplicity of the look of this bass.
21. How to make a classic even better!
22. Vaguely reminiscent of the Charvel Surfcaster. Modern retro?
23. The Greek is right, play with your ears not your eyes. If you do miss "fret" a little slide into pitch. But listen to double bass players particularly Jazz bassists, you will hear that even great players aren't precisely on note all the time . It's part of the charm and the sound of fretless playing and double basses.
24. A great fella to deal with! We met up in Shrewsbury to hand over the bass which was interesting. Shrewsbury really needs to sort out their traffic problems! We had great email communications. Enjoy playing the bass Francis.
