copi from the Reaper site: Native bridging and firewalling: run Win32 plug-ins in REAPER x64, maximize RAM utilization, protect against plug-in crashes.
Looks like the native bridging might indeed be Jbridge. "I have been working (testing) with a developer that is about to "officially" release a third party universal "bitbridge" utility application called "jbridge" that will take most any VST plugin (I even got my ARC plugin working in 64bit now) and make it x64 compatible. The last little hurdle for UAD compatibility was getting the proper plugin latency reported to the VST host app. We all know how important getting the correct latency info to the host app is when it comes to getting the auto PDC working for latent intensive UAD plugins. Anyway, I think we finally got it fixed today and so far from my preliminary tests all is working well. You can find the latest version here with the UAD latency fix: http://jstuff.wordpress.com/ Now I know Cakewalk and Steinberg have their own proprietary "bitbridge" apps, but this third party utlility gives a more universal solution and should work in most any VST compatible application including REAPER x64. Also, my experience with other proprietary bitbridge apps is they are not always the most stable (athough SONAR 8.3.1 is working pretty good right now) and there is a noticeble native CPU hit that is attributable to the bitbridge layer. This extra native CPU load doubles the native CPU hit when compared to working with the UAD plugins in a 32bit VST host app. What is remarkable about the "jBridge" is once you enable it's "Performance mode" (which is a parameter available for each plugin individually), the native CPU load is practically cut in half making it comparable to working with the UAD plugins in a 32bit VST host app. I have been working with the alpha/beta versions of "jBridge in XP64 over the last month or so and getting the plugin latency properly reported to the host app was the last thing to get fixed for UAD x64 compatibility. The application itself is quite stable. I have not tested every possible VST plugin on planet earth mind you, but the ones I have tested have worked very well in REAPER x64. The developer is keen on getting the "jBridge" app working as universally as possible."

So is Jbridge incorporated in Reaper ? Or is it their own bridge ? I don't use Reaper, so would not know.
Gentlemen, If you are unable to contribute anything positive to this thread I suggest you check Google maps to find the location of your nearest school playground and go battle it out with conkers.
Or maybe their seven string Conklins.

When you installed, did you right click on the installer and run as admin ? If not uninstall, and try that. Or before uninstalling try this..... Go to your start menu, find Jbridge in programmes list, right click on Jbridge - properties - click on the compatibility tab, then at the bottom check the box for - Run this programme as an administrator. That should do it.
record 16 bars of it yourself and let everyone hear how it REALLY should be done.
All that will happen here is, that it will turn into a "what DAW did you use" "You should have used Reaper" And the whole thread will be moved down stairs to the recording section - Skol is hiring at the moment.

If you are trying to use x32 bit plugs in a x64 host, you will need a bit bridge. Some DAW's have them, and some don't. Jbridge is the most reliable, from a 3rd party vendor ( and it is highly regarded) and it works for just about any VST/VSTi. Although most software companies are supplying x32 and x64 plugins these days, there is still some great legacy stuff still knocking around (mainly the free stuff) - and Jbridge will be your best friend. It quite often works when some of the hosts bridging don't work. Try the Demo first, if it don't work, it's cost you nothing. Well worth the 14.99 Euros though. I like solo and virtuoso playing (any Instrument), but the OP video is just too messy and disjointed for me. I have seen VW a few times with the Flecktones, his grooving and timing in an ensemble/band situation is out there with the best of them. I understand maybe his solo performances ain't for everyone, but it is always confident and minus flaky clams. After seeing the OP video again, I think I will tacet on re evaluating my role as musician,

Thanks for he tip. Seems like it might be a good one - But I was counting out loud, and my wife thought I sounded like John (Joseph) Merrick.

They all sound an octave lower than written. The player for me.

I think the snake charmer spoils it.

I have been involved in many working situations, where additional enhancements have been used. For me it really depends on the quality of Instruments, and how they are blended in on the track/click track, Augmenting a track because of lack of musicians, like adding auxiliary percussion, adding extra blowing/string instruments to pad out or fill in harmony blanks can work well, Tucking in close harmony vocals, another winner. When this is all done with subtleness, good arranging, and not over exposing things, It can really polish a tune. The only problems for me, are when some folks have trouble playing in time with the click track. Solo singers who need to work with tracks, are a visual turn off (to me) however good, and I lose interest, but it don't seem to bother the paying Joe public, and I suppose, that's what matters.

No such story or sleepless nights for me, l just looked at the picture of a miserable git sitting in a chair, I then sat at the keyboard and pressed record in Cubase...Then cleaned the mess up afterwards... Good one Skol (well put together), and indeed everyone else. It was between Bilbo and Ambient for me (both hit the emotion of the picture really well imo) Then Dad's epic meandering drew my attention after another listen. In the end I voted for Dad - it intrigued me how it went from an Arabic version of the Hovis theme for the intro, Into some kind of Desert battle action from Lawrence of Arabia, skipped through a scene that vocally mimicked a cue from an Ennio Morricone Spaghetti western without the whip cracks, then finished with a snake charming theme in a market place !, The whole thing was totally bazaar, made little sense of the calm motionless aftermath of the picture (IMO), but was real out of the box thinking. Garry
The modern single cut basses are closer to that Strat/P-bass descended shape, only with the space between the upper horn and the neck filled in.
Yep, quite a few designs like that. I have been using one for over eight years now, the only fretted Bass I have. It is just a five stg Jazz Bass design, with the top horn filled in (a coffee table type of course) Mine is certainly here to stay.

Busy Bass ? Maybe.... But I do like the way all the tunes have been reharmonized and rearranged on this concert,

Brilliant stuff.Thanks for that. Garry

There could be a sticky on all things MIDI, Like tips on programming, what CC#'s do, and how to use them, what they mean etc. All the stuff people get hung up on regarding it. Good Libraries and Synths could be in there as well. Plenty of links out there that would be good stacked together in one place. Garry
