6.
That's awesome mate. So what's the trick in getting noticed? I guess using the correct/appropriate tags?
Possible, but more than likely having more Media friendly cues, as opposed to song format - But who knows, pot luck I suppose.
 7. Not arf....... I have had tracks licensed for Sony PSP Mini games and iPad/Android Apps through people lurking on Soundcloud. They messaged me and I just sent them off to my Library company. I am just about to get the Soundcloud Pro as well, much bigger audience open to you.

 10. Here is a transcription I did a quite a while back, I think it came from a live show, so not the same format as the studio version, and some of the fills and phrases are slightly different, but enough to get you up and running. It's written straight out, key sig should be in Ab/F minor (4 flats) Hope this helps Edit.. If you are having trouble opening the file - change .ipd to .pdf after the download. For some reason the PDF file is showing as .ipd
 11.
I can't be the only one who finds it really difficult hearing or recognising the first beat of a bar, so any tips on how to find it?
I would give Cuba a miss for your holidays.
 12.
Yes we have all been there! Dealing with the ego and temprement of the "front man", battling with the guitar players volume and the feckin drummers lack of dynamics! The keyboard players strange habits to mention a few! Yet us bass players, the glue between the drums and rest of the band always seem to be the good guy! The one that just wants to enjoy it!!
This looks like the opening lines to....... " Is this you ? Well read on....For only $9.99 per month, you can rid yourself of the daily grind of the five knuckle shuffle...."

 14.
This site is REALLY useful for ear training, plus a load of other stuff. I spent hours using the interval and chord exercises in the 1st year of my degree. It's free too . 18.
Great programme - my gran won it last year. By accident.
Gran's usually have accidents of that nature.
 19.
I started fiddling on guitar last night and wrote something I thought sounded awesome until someone pointed out I was playing "one" by metallica... ffs
I am sure most of us C&W musicians would not have noticed.... 21.
Play piano! best instrument for ear I think, i noticited the difference in being able to recognise intervals and especialy chords after a few weeks, I find it easier to visualise as well. Just sit there playing intervals/chords until your used to them (in context to a song or melody can help), another good way is by using an interval trainer websites that test you by playing different intervals / chords / scales and you select what you hear plenty of them about they are useful also if you have a smart phone you can get some pretty good aps taht do the same thing. TRANSCRIBING!! Learn a song by ear, then notate it out properly with correct rhythm, key signature, time signature everthing! It takes a while at first is can be difficult so pick simple songs but by doing this your imporve all aspects of your ear and theory knowlege its just quite alot of effort / time an can be frustraiting. Thats my opinions anyway ^_^
I agree with all this [Along with Bilbo's suggestion) Hearing intervals and chords came very quickly once I started learning Piano, suddenly I started hearing chords like Minor 9th's with the nine and minor third (semi tones) in the middle of the chords. Busking standards started to fall into place after that.
 22. Just remembered that I had a Polytone Brute (15 Inch) as well for smaller gigs, or pub big band gigs. Always had it turned up full, not as loud as the makers claims - But dead portable though.
 23.
I can't understand the indignation either, and blaming the current state of the music industry on Simon Cowell is just ignorance.
And just to add to that - Jobs created for Musicians..... This show and the likes of SCD/BGT use Musicians on the live shows, Musicians to record the tracks for some of the shows, associated tours that go out each year, the acts going out on their own tours, recording of albums and so on.
 24. I used SWR (SM400) gear in the second half of the 80's, first time I used a 4x10 cab, and loved it.
 25. There will be no more old school cleb's left for the Jungle, if they keep getting nicked like they are at the moment.
