Here is a transcription I did a quite a while back, I think it came from a live show, so not the same format as the studio version, and some of the fills and phrases are slightly different, but enough to get you up and running. It's written straight out, key sig should be in Ab/F minor (4 flats) Hope this helps Edit.. If you are having trouble opening the file - change .ipd to .pdf after the download. For some reason the PDF file is showing as .ipd

Dealing with the ego and temprement of the "front man", battling with the guitar players volume and the feckin drummers lack of dynamics! The keyboard players strange habits to mention a few! 15.
Play piano! best instrument for ear I think, i noticited the difference in being able to recognise intervals and especialy chords after a few weeks, I find it easier to visualise as well. Just sit there playing intervals/chords until your used to them (in context to a song or melody can help), another good way is by using an interval trainer websites that test you by playing different intervals / chords / scales and you select what you hear plenty of them about they are useful also if you have a smart phone you can get some pretty good aps taht do the same thing. TRANSCRIBING!! Learn a song by ear, then notate it out properly with correct rhythm, key signature, time signature everthing! It takes a while at first is can be difficult so pick simple songs but by doing this your imporve all aspects of your ear and theory knowlege its just quite alot of effort / time an can be frustraiting. Thats my opinions anyway ^_^
I agree with all this [Along with Bilbo's suggestion) Hearing intervals and chords came very quickly once I started learning Piano, suddenly I started hearing chords like Minor 9th's with the nine and minor third (semi tones) in the middle of the chords. Busking standards started to fall into place after that.
 16. Just remembered that I had a Polytone Brute (15 Inch) as well for smaller gigs, or pub big band gigs. Always had it turned up full, not as loud as the makers claims - But dead portable though.
 17.
I can't understand the indignation either, and blaming the current state of the music industry on Simon Cowell is just ignorance.
And just to add to that - Jobs created for Musicians..... This show and the likes of SCD/BGT use Musicians on the live shows, Musicians to record the tracks for some of the shows, associated tours that go out each year, the acts going out on their own tours, recording of albums and so on.
i would be inclined to agree with this sentiment - personally am against shimming too as a setup fix as imho it is affecting the neck/pocket contact area - ive even resorted to routing out a millimetre of body surface to drop the thicker gotoh 201 bridge down to get full adjustment rather than shimming i tried it and imho it sounded pants and neck stability was definitely an issue so although i havent played one i would expect a single cutaway to add to stability and tone transmission throughout the whole instrument hopefully somebody will have one of these ugly little critters at the SE bass bash and i can have a proper look-see
Neck stability might come into play as well (but who knows) I have had mine over seven years and have had very little neck movement, Since the first set up I have never had to adjust the rod at all (and it has been the only fretted Bass I use) I have a high action and use heavy gauge strings, so the whole thing feels very tight (How I like it) Natural note (quite long) decay on it is great, but then again that might be down to woods. Does single cut make a difference ? I am not sure, but mine does play great (for me) If I go along to the Bash, I will bring it along.
