1.
Very nice! Looks a bit tidy to me, though - that's not very rock 'n' roll, is it??
Nah it's not... My son's studio room is the real rock 'n' roll room..................................... I know.............because i am forever removing used girl friends and cleaning the fecking mess up... Garry

 3. The great Trumpet/Session player sadly left us yesterday. If you did not know of him, you would have heard his playing, certainly on the James Bond scores. A fantastic musician and a real gent. 4. I went for the comical kids approach for the picture. http://soundcloud.com/garrycribb/good-grief-theres-cossacks-in Garry
 5. Of course you could ask them nicely not to use the promo[s] and possibly have a mutual time limit for use until their new promo[s] is/are ready. If any [unlikely] legal action went on at some point, at least you tried the civil, sensible and reasonable way first. As you said that you don't give a toss - Just move on anyway, it ain't worth the hassle. Garry
 6.
Always know what notes I'm playing. Don't always know what song though!
Quote of the thread.... Garry
 7.
so a few shandies and I'm going to be on the table singing 'My Way', or something... ).
Both great tunes of course. Garry
 8. All the time - And i can hear, and know the chords [others are playing] as well. Garry
 9.
Richard Bona is the real deal .
Richard B goes that extra mile for me. Composing and vocals are also part of his extraordinary arsenal of soul, talent and emotion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Jnjt-dyego http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1p3GbiPNR4 Garry
 10. Anthony Jackson just does everything right [for me] Over the years he has just sat with everything he has played, Funk, Soul, Jazz, Latin, Big Band. He just seems to be at home with any situation, and with very little noticable effort. True master. Garry

 12. Although i am a Kontakt 5 user, i thought i would give this a go for fun. It's pretty impressive, and there is also a x64 bit version. The CPU hit is very small, so the more RAM you have, you can load up tons of Audio/Wav files or Sound Fonts. There are dozens of really good free sound fonts on the net, just Google away. There are also 3 or 4 excellent Orchestral library collections out there in sound font form [Free - again Google is your friend] This is a great way of building up a good Software Instrument library at no cost. You can also do all the chopping/slicing etc, as well as just a play back engine. Unlimited Multi timbral, so you can run plenty of MIDI tracks. I have been testing this afternoon, with four instances of TX16W [using sound fonts] each running 16 MIDI tracks And it worked a dream with no drop outs or stuttering. Enjoy. Download http://www.tx16wx.com/home Specs/Features http://www.tx16wx.com/features As you see by the specs - It's a pretty powerful animal. Garry

 16. Ha Ha - Just had a listen to that Angry Birds theme....very clever, and in at around one minute long. Bit like some kind of Klezmer/Bar Mitzvah tune with a comedy twist....... Garry
 17. The big titles these days are very much Symphonic/Cinematic fused with Rock and Electronic. Of course the vintage vibe is still around, App games very much alive with this. Two great libs for the Cinematic sound come from Project Sam, just superb.... The Multi patches combine Winds/Brass and Strings right across the Keyboard, which saves using dozens of MIDI tracks - It saves a lot of time. All the Articulation Key strokes are down in the C0/-C0 range, and can be played in real time or written in after. Symphobia two and Symphobia one, along with True Strike[Their Percussion library]. Check out the Demo's. http://www.projectsam.com/Products/Feature-Products/ Garry
 18.
I can feel some chiptune coming on
After recent conversations of goliath bit rates, we are now talking 8 bit... That route did cross my mind. Should be some corkers in March. Garry
 19. Wey Hey...A very, very big thanks for all that voted. Great turn out this month I think everyone that entered grabbed the 'Emotion' that was screaming out from that picture [in different wa\ys] One good thing about these comps [for me] is that i find myself wandering around folks 'Soundcloud' sites and listening to their other tracks. Otherwise i might not have bothered [Or had any links to get me there] So for March......................................................................... 21.
It's Christmas/Easter/Valentine's Day/Mothers day/My wife's birthday
What a great tip of the day - When getting married, have the partner agree that these all fall on the same day for card purpose. Then that's only one day of the year to forget.
 22. Go and have a nose around Sigmasound, although revamped, It's still an amazing place for a nostalgia trip. http://sigmasound.com/history/about-us/ Garry
 23. Had a couple of listens over the last two days - Some interesting stuff going down from all [well done all] Hard choice in the end .......
Down to BRX [great idea & approach] and Urb, liked them both. But Urb's motif kinda stuck in my head.
24. If you are talking about good value for money - Samplitude Music Studio 2013 [Smaller Brother of Samplitude Pro X ] Is well worth a look as well.
