  1. I take it that you're going to fill those holes in with cement before you gig the Instrument?
  2. I take it that you are a Blues musician? It looks like you woke up.!
  3. 'Ladi Geisler'. He certainly had the Knack for recording sessions.
  4. So many good performances on Da Tube but, I went for John Eliot Gardiner this morning. Excellent, although there must have been a shortage of combs, brushes and decent rugs in the dressing room that day:
  5. It's low in the mix because of the various synths overlaid. But it's there. There is an old TalkBass thread about Donna Summer and the various Bassists that recorded for her and Les pops up (again). RIP Donna Summer - The bassists thread... | TalkBass.com Also, another studio player of that time who recorded with Donna Summer, Dave King, chimes in and talks about his Bassline on "Love To Love You Baby..."
  6. There's a video of Will Lee singing 'MacArthur Park' up on YouTube. He's got some vocal chops as well..!
  7. Yes, he was a regular in a lot of the TV Orchestras back then. A terrific player and very likeable chap. Back in the 90's, there was a particular TV turn I worked for and PW depped for me a couple of times. Les Hurdle was another top UK session Bassist; Donna Summer - "I Feel Love" and "On the Radio are a couple of his Bass lines from a varied session CV from back then. I believe he was also Tomsk (The Wombles...). He now lives up some hillside near LA as a media composer. A few months back he turned up at the VI Control forum, where I asked if he had been a Womble in his past life. He owned up () and then mentioned a couple of his session exploits. 8. Cor blimey, guv...Yeah..! How was he overlooked. Well, he's not now. 👍
  9. Oddly enough, I was thinking about some of the UK session players from the 60's & 70's yesterday. Dave Richmond was another Bassist who was very much used on TV/Film/Jingles and albums on a regular basis. Quite a character as well....
  10. Billy Jean - Louis Johnson (and Greg Phillinganes).
  11. Haha, I had the same problem, so I left him out in favour of Neil Stubenhaus. Everyone knows about Nathan's work but, Neil's work goes under the radar a bit for some reason (Probably because he was mainly a true, studio session hermit at his peak). So I thought I would give him a mention. Neil Stubenhaus - Wikipedia
  12. I could easily add another five to my list. But, I won't be greedy.
  13. Purely because of the amount of different situations they could all drop into with absolute ease. TV, Film, Albums, Commercials etc: Of course, all from the golden days of 1st call studio musicians. Neil Stubenhaus Anthony Jackson Abe Laboriel Chuck Rainey Will Lee
  14. And another one from the free 'Foundations' collection - This time, a Synth Bass: Synth Bass - Heavyocity Media
  15. I now seem to remember having an issue with Dorico 4 a few months back when Steinberg started the whole migrating process over to the Download Assistant. I was advised to log out of the the Download Assistant and close it down. Then open the App and log in again. That fixed my issue, so maybe try that?
  16. I presume you are using the new desktop App? If not, here is the link: Steinberg Download Assistant | Steinberg
  17. If you are talking about the (newish) 'Steinberg Download Assistant', it's all working fine for me (I'm on PC). Although, there was an update for it on Friday which took an age to update.
  18. Try the Steinberg/Cubase official forum. You shouldn't really be getting glitches, not on modern day PC's with a decent Audio interface, anyway. You might have to be more specific, but there is always good help about on their board: Latest Cubase topics - Steinberg Forums
  19. Did you download them with version 12 when you upgraded? Or maybe Cubase didn't migrate them over from version 11. Check you 'Steinberg Download Assistant'. It will tell you:
  20. I'm using Nuendo 12 (it's Cubase really with added post production & game stuff). I've not had any problems at all and on my system, it runs very smoothly When you say "Lost all my Loops and Instruments..." 1) Do you mean from the right side browser as in my first screenshot? 2) Or, from the main Media Bay (Hotkey F5 on a PC), second screenshot? 3) "Glitches" sounds like it's possibly your 'Multi Processing, ASIO-Guard, Power Schemes and Buffer sizes/settings etc...', third Screenshot. A few more details might be helpful...Mac, Windows, what Audio unit etc...? Are you running the current update (you can check in your 'Steinberg Download Assistant'?
