2. I thought it was a scene from "Grease"........ Garry
 3.
there isn't enough time left to be listening to this.
Yet you keep coming back... Only kidding. Rough and ready funk - but still hits the spot for me, lots of energy. Lenny White with a very young Marcus Miller. 7.
My transcription of XYZ is up in theory and technique somewhere if anyone is interested in having a crack at it
Yep, i grabbed that a while back - and a very fine transcription it is, of a very fine tune. Garry
 8. Good stuff dude! Nice playing all round. Garry
 9. For any of you guys/girls who use Midi for composing, you might find this site very helpful. Lots of great tips and geek gear talk. http://www.vi-control.net/forum/portal.php Garry
 10.

Great Album all round [agree about the Synth sounds and being better] I remember buying it for about £20.00 or so around the mid 90's, now you can download from iTunes for about $10.00 Garry
 11.
Hmm, can't see that here
Ok - Now have my glasses on. He has been given his P45 then. Have some time so will have a good listen and cast my vote. Garry
 12.
I meant good luck with voting for RedStriper
Lol....I see what you mean. There is a tacet/bar for nothing where his name and link should have been. Garry
 13.
Good luck with that Garry
Thanks for that - Cue sheets to be detailed in October, so will know more then about broadcast times etc. Still laughing about Redstriper and his story, very funny and has made my day. Garry
 14.
Sorry, sorry, sorry... I've done a bad thing - first of all I'm Tacsi and secondly, I cheated My band is called Tacsi and I linked to a song we wrote last year, it wasn't written this month. I didn't read the OP properly, (I was very drunk at the time) and the picture made me think of this song so I made the link and promptly forgot all about it - until now. Anyway thanks to whoever voted for the song, but you should transfer your vote and I should be scorned as unworthy .
It's amazing what people will do for their 15 minutes.............. Funny story, I might vote for you because you gave me a giggle. Garry
 15.
minor 5th for diminished metal type sounds
Is that a rusty 5th? Ears and taste [along with theory,or some] is the name of the game. Practise singing along with Basslines, or any instrument lines for that matter, and start to take in intervals and chord sounds. Melodic or lyrical Instinct will eventually kick in telling you what's musical and what's just your fingers speaking in the name of showing off. Garry
 16. Yep, that's a great watch and very interesting to listen to. Maestro Bernstein looks like something out of a Mafioso film. Garry
 17.
Fixed.
Ha Ha, very good. To the OP, I am not sure it is just an age thang. - The Music business is full of twonks who talk a lot and deliver very little, the longer you are in it, the more you just laugh it off. Garry
 18.
http://soundcloud.co...ingale-basschat
I quite like that Skol. The only thing for me is the duck call or bird sound jiving out all the way through. I found i was kinda of listening to that mostly, i think the point was made in the first 16 bars or so, but that's me just being me. Bass break in the middle breaks it up nicely. Good stuff. Just been listening to the tracks, some really good ideas floating around peeps. Garry
 19. Always been a Jeff Lorber Fan since day one, His latest album is pretty cool - some superb playing from Mr Haslip. First Fusion album i have bought for ages. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKpZWflxNmY http://www.lorber.com/ Garry
 20.
It might not work for everybody, best way to find out is to try it. Record yourself playing some phrase normally, then yell the phrase to yourself, give it some beans and play it again. It'll probably sound different, maybe more dynamics will come through. Easy to find out.
I agree. I had a nice quite [Imagined] tune in my head that translated nicely to the fingers, I then shouted the tune loudly and found i was slapping and popping it very loudly. Perhaps i took [the very good] video the wrong way. Garry
 21. Lovely Jazz Bass tone. Da girl plays great. I know it's all been done before, but it is still done well. 23. That whole ARGUS album was great, including the production. Garry
 24.
I think the bass on the Serge Gainsborough records was Russ Stableford, certainly on Je T'aime.
Some posts from his son [Glyn Stableford] Herbie joins in i think. http://freakytrigger.co.uk/ft/2006/07/the-love-affair-everlasting-love/ Garry
