iLok account is just for storing licenses - nothing more or nothing less. From a $20.00 plug in to $2000.00 top end Orchestral sample library. You can transfer licenses between accounts, insure your software against theft or loss. Garry

I have a Steinberg/Syncrosoft key for Nuendo 5.5 and an iLok account for a lot of other stuff. Both will take many licenses. [iLok over five hundred i think] If you run your DAW from a Laptop, i can understand some folk having a moan about using two USB ports for keys/dongles, but on a desktop with eight USB ports it's not a problem. Also with Steinberg/Syncrosoft you can transfer your licenses. Garry

Just been listening again to this album this morning. There is some fantastic arranging and Orchestrating going on. It seems there was amazing input from all involved. Garry

I know what you mean by it 'swings', and it does. Quincy Jones and his boys were 'on it' back in the days. I read somewhere that QJ thought 'Off the Wall' was a better album than 'Thriller' in his opinion. Garry

Ego & self doubt can't get in the way, as you will still be asked to play what is required from the producer or writer. And this will be as quick as possible, be it sight reading, or using your ears, or both. Artistic input from you would be minimal and some times not at all. You will need to get a feel/groove and peoples ideas down with minimal fuss. Getting in the way of other Instruments and vocals is a naughty no no. In the studio sloppy and untidy playing is easy exposed. [Not saying you are by the way] Knowing what these people want is half the battle - they seem to explain it in the most bizarre ways. Just been listening to this album again, i hear very little Jazz in this album. And as someone above has said - Neo Soul sounding. Sweet Voice. In many ways, she reminds me of Tania Maria. Garry
