There are quite a few free Midi Jazz standards knocking around the net, Some not so good, and some are excellent. You can then play them back in your DAW, at any Tempo and any Key. Good for practise and learning, and taking on board changes. If you are used to playing venues & pubs to few or no people, Jazz will be right up your Strasse. Unless i have been unlucky. Garry

You really need to look into getting a decent Audio Interface for Recording. I think most of your problems will be the Realtek HD. Garry

With any Audio interface /card, PC/Mac, W7/0SX/XP, 32 bit/64 bit etc comes into play regarding good drivers. Also the DAW you use, some do not want to play nice at low latency settings. [What ever the manufacturer says] Go to the DAW [you use] forum and check to see if that particular Interface has known problems or not. USB or PCI/PCI expresss seem to be less problematic. Some Firewire units have problems with certain chipsets. Garry

I do Spain & back quite a lot [Easyjet], Hard case in the hold is not been a problem, It's just the weight allowance with your luggage you need to keep an eye on. They used to let gig bags on, but they make a big fuss over it these days. Garry
