If any folks use the PRV [Piano Roll View] for writing in, and editing Midi. This guy has got some great tips & Technique's for doing this. Applies to any DAW. Plenty of Videos in all styles. The Orchestral stuff is very, very good. Enjoy http://www.youtube.c.../10/3vXcjlxK4DQ Garry
F*ck Him Up The Ass - Sum 41, Beezleboss
Are you free to do the Queens Halloween party next year ? [If she is still walking the dogs] Garry
For a bit of fun I thought I would try looping, I know I'm going to rubbish at it but once I have an idea in my head I'll not be happy until I've tried it, so to keep cost down I was thinking of getting a cheap secondhand MIDI controller from Ebay and look for some free or very cheap software based looper, anyone using this type of setup?
Is this not something you can do in any DAW ? Set the loop points, then loop away until the clocks go forward. Garry

Plenty of great Eastern European Musicians about who are highly skilled. Its not all Circus Music & folk night around the camp fire using Gypsy scales [ although that's great as well] Some very Funky Polish dudes from the 70's when everyone thought it was just Americans doing the 'thang'.
However I couldn't help thinking that he could have replaced it all with something like a Moog Voyager or a Nord Lead and got the same results faster and more accurately.
Lack of Keyboard chops might have been the culprit. [Which is not a crime of course] Garry
Bought this yesterday.... will give it an outing this weekend - http://itunes.apple....38724?ls=1&mt=8
Now that looks interesting. Lets us know how it goes. Garry

Another Synth user here - Novation A station and a two Octave Keyboard. I have used it on a couple of pit shows. Function bands as well. Its just another sound at the party. You are not trying to sound like a Bass Gtr. And as said above, Keyboard players only have two hands, and they are usually tied up with playing other lines. Different feel as well. Its not devalue, its double value. Garry
He must had have something abiout him as he was on just about everything for 5 years or so.
I think it was a bit more than that. Still going strong, The sound track of his credits is playing on his website, snippets just going on and on. Some fantastic stuff, and tracks i did not realise he played on, Pretty serious.
I wish every budding drummer would stop and pay attention to John Robinson. The world would be a much better place.
Quincy Jones and John Robinson, both a bit 'Off the Wall' got 'So Excited' they partied 'All Night Long' - and the rest was history, as they say. Top Drummer.... Garry
Cheers Garry - your track sounds incredible - excellent stuff. Are these authentic instruments or samples? I can't tell the difference.
Sample patches, Loaded into Kontakt from the East West Library. Your track sounds great, really up front & punchy. Garry
Hi fella - I took it off as I realised my song sounded really out of place with the other great tracks here - and was more me playing everything within a song format than showcasing any particular bass skills.
Everything goes dude.....do you own thing, makes for more interest. Your track can't be more out of place than my Orchestral attempt.... Garry
