Ah, i see you don't know the old joke..... 'The Factory worker running off to join the show business Circus'? old one. but good one. Garry
 5.
Sure Im not a big caberet fan but if its instead of my day job rather than aswell as then Id play anything!
If you had endured some of the turns i have had to, you would not say that. In fact at one point i was going to run away and join a Factory. Garry
 6.
I'm obviously not right in the head. I turned a cruise job down once as for me it would have been kind of like having a permanent job in Hell. LA, great, Hawaii, great, but the job itself (assuming he's playing cabaret/covers - no difference to me - and not actually playing with Return to Forever or something)? No thanks. Good luck to him though!
So your post would read............... "4000 The Jammy Dodger" Garry
 7.
Don't cruise without it........
He will need more than that - More like a blow torch. Garry
 8.
That's what I thought Garry Hippies I bet
Do you think they all share the same Cabin then or does she leave some at home? Garry
 9.
The wife of some friends of mine
Glad to see that they have done away with Bigamy then. Garry
 10. He is going to miss the X Factor final. I hope it's worth it. Garry
 11. Seen them a couple of times - worth every penny. Well i think so. There is always a great vibe at Ronnie's, a good place to see & hear TOP. Garry
 12.
but he is a strong guy, I bet he'll come back just fine!
He is strong - he took on Steely Dan, and beat them................................ with his thumb !! Garry
 13. If any folks use the PRV [Piano Roll View] for writing in, and editing Midi. This guy has got some great tips & Technique's for doing this. Applies to any DAW. Plenty of Videos in all styles. The Orchestral stuff is very, very good. Enjoy http://www.youtube.c.../10/3vXcjlxK4DQ Garry
 14. Just read some sad news on Facebook, Chuck Rainey has suffered a major stroke and is currently in ICU. Certainly one of the greats of the Bass world. Get well Chuck........ Garry
 15.
And this is precisely what is going wrong.
Garry
 16. Good stuff Craig, great use of dynamics in a couple of the sections. Garry
 17.
whenever I listen to her all I hear is bla bla bla Shame..
What the Police number ? Bla Bla Bla...... A Bla bla Bla.... Garry
 18. I have been on the same gig as her a few times, and she is great fun and loves her Music, But.... 00:45...Priceless. She does put on a great show, and the Billy Bunters love her. Garry
 19.
F*ck Him Up The Ass - Sum 41, Beezleboss
Are you free to do the Queens Halloween party next year ? [If she is still walking the dogs] Garry
 20.
For a bit of fun I thought I would try looping, I know I'm going to rubbish at it but once I have an idea in my head I'll not be happy until I've tried it, so to keep cost down I was thinking of getting a cheap secondhand MIDI controller from Ebay and look for some free or very cheap software based looper, anyone using this type of setup?
Is this not something you can do in any DAW ? Set the loop points, then loop away until the clocks go forward. Garry
 21. Plenty of great Eastern European Musicians about who are highly skilled. Its not all Circus Music & folk night around the camp fire using Gypsy scales [ although that's great as well] Some very Funky Polish dudes from the 70's when everyone thought it was just Americans doing the 'thang'. Garry
 22. Janek Gwizdale is a player i have really grown to like over the last year or so. I wasn't sure at first, but the more i hear him the more i like his playing. Great solo above by the way, and thanks for posting. Garry
 23.
However I couldn't help thinking that he could have replaced it all with something like a Moog Voyager or a Nord Lead and got the same results faster and more accurately.
Lack of Keyboard chops might have been the culprit. [Which is not a crime of course] Garry
 24.
Bought this yesterday.... will give it an outing this weekend - http://itunes.apple....38724?ls=1&mt=8
Now that looks interesting. Lets us know how it goes. Garry
 25. Another Synth user here - Novation A station and a two Octave Keyboard. I have used it on a couple of pit shows. Function bands as well. Its just another sound at the party. You are not trying to sound like a Bass Gtr. And as said above, Keyboard players only have two hands, and they are usually tied up with playing other lines. Different feel as well. Its not devalue, its double value. Garry
