I thought we did this thread last week? Carry on though as Im on the other side of the fence this time (see my signature) so to contradict everything I said last week you must have a 5'er!
A week is a very long time in the business of Bass. There will be many Bass chatters who last week purchased a five/six or 92 string. They would then start a post about that particular Bass being the best Bass they have ever played [by a country mile]. A few days later it will be in the 'For sale section' " As much as i have tried - i just can not get on with a fiver or whatever, i am a four stringer really" Thats what makes this place a priceless hang out... Soundguys That Want To Di My Guitar But Not My Amp
lowdown replied to digitalmetal's topic in General Discussion
For years i have just carried my Sans amp Thingy around. I know what it sounds like into a rig, in the studio etc. Engineers are always happy to use that. Not bothered about mic up etc. Garry -
The guitar player in Spinal Tap had low output pups, Thats why Jim Marshall made him an amp that went up to Eleven. Garry
HAHAHAHA! I hadn't seen the vids until ten minutes ago. This is my favourite so far. Sheer madness, X Factor audition quality
I think he is better than X factor audition quality. At 02.16 on the video, he reminds all the folks that got lost in the vast array of movement, key & time changes that are In the complex arrangement - where ONE is. Now not many X Factor folks can claim to know that [or even Drummers] Garry
The abuse has been very rare, and was really all from a single person who shared the same moniker as a leading brodcast organisation.
Well i tended to lose interest when he was involved, so would have ducked out and missed it - nothing to offer me on a Musical level.
Perhaps, but certainly not always. I would agree that the further up the ladder we go, the less we should shoot our gobs off. You won't hear Geddy Lee slagging anyone off. On the other hand, Scott Thunes does, but that may contribute the the fact he doesn't work much.
Have you not read the Pat Metheny rant over Kenny G?...Priceless Garry
I sort of agree with you, but really, I think they should be able to stick up for themselves a bit better than they have. All art is open to interpretation and recieveng the attendant criticism/opinion.
I agree with that.... But its when criticism/opinion turns into abuse - [all from the safety of a user name, internet connection and hiding in the bedroom] Garry
