2.
Garry, do the cabs have link sockets on the back?
Steve.... No..for some reason just the one socket... Garry
 3.
Shadows and Light - with the exception of that bloody awful bass solo that he did, verbatim, in about every show of his I've heard - is Jaco at his best, fitting in with the band rather than dominating it, playing melodic bass under the vocal rather than overly complex lines in competition, and producing a tone with relatively crude equipment that is still for me the definitive fretless sound. Although I recognised the technical brilliance of his first album, and a lot of his WR stuff, to me it wasn't musically exceptional; Shadows and Light was the pinnacle of his musicality. Chris
Must agree with all that.... Interestingly...I read somewhere a couple of weeks ago , an article from Jeff Berlin about Jaco.. Not been a Natural soloist [in JB's opion] But all his Solo's and playing where pre-composed.. I think Mr Berlin should have a listen [or another listen] to the above... It is Jaco at his best [and un pre-composed].. I still love 'Come on over' with Sam & Dave..I bet that inspired the Bass line for 'Hit me''Hit me' Garry
 4.
Wow, this is being conclusive. My punchiest bass is a peavey 5-string with through body stinging, big heavy body and passive humbuckers. Taperwound strings might be a factor in this case. Think my pre butchered Westone Thunder will get the punch experiment treatment. Once I have a neck sorted, drop a bridge position MM humbucker in it, see what that does.
That really does all add up to some punch...me thinks.. Garry
 5. For Me ... i seem to get a punchy sound... with high action and heavier strings....no matter what bass. Another factor to consider.... But of course we are all different beast's... so forget what i have just said I must admit though....ye olde MM style Pup does seem to Punch it out a bit... Garry

 21. Trying to unload all the Project stuff from under the bed. Precision Body in Gold... Not sure what type...from ebay about 3 years ago. Not a cheap one...feels a nice weight , not light and cheap.. a couple of light scratches... The strap pin has been moved down a couple of inches at the bottom. Included ..Seymour Duncan quater pounder's Precision Pups.. With the Pots wired in. and controls.. There is some slight buzzing...but that will be a bad solder job. or more likely the lack of shielding.... Came with the Bass..so just never got round to the Project finish.. £50.00 plus the Postage...or pick up, can do Paypal Garry
 22. Jim Decon Precision neck.... Standard fitting at the heel... Frets in great nick.. No trussrod problems...the neck is straight.. Came from a Jim Decon body..and there was no fret buzz.. But the nut is pretty crappy.. Would be a good project neck... Also the tuners dont slip , and stay in tune... So £25.00....including the postage..or can be picked up. [ can do paypal] Garry
 23.
Any chance you could make those images a bit smaller ? 4mb per image is a bit OTT
Can do that later... Not sure why they loaded.. does say max load 3.03 MB Garry

This plays great...nice and tight.... In tune all the way up...neck straight.and truss rod working.... No buzz or hum from the pups.... Fretboard in very good condition...[halfwounds were mostly used]. This is actually better than just a back up Bass.. Including warwick rock bag. £100.00 Plus the postage...or can be picked up , and tried...[can do paypal] Could meet and exchange maybe... Garry
