  1. Apart from the (annoying) slow download time, everything else was just fine for me. Also, I was given an option to direct/change the downloads to a drive of my choice. If I remember correctly, it was originally pointing towards: This PC/Windows(C)/users/my name/AppData/Roaming...(if that helps to locate your samples).
  2. Yes, the only downside. And I do have a very fast service. But, the quality and programming are excellent. It's an ongoing project, so there will be more free instruments on the way. I think in the longer term, they will be introducing single Instruments to buy as well.
  3. In the same vein as Spitfire Audio and their free Sample player and free Instruments... Orchestral Tools are doing the same. Once downloaded and you open the Sine Player, you will find some extra (basic articulations) String Sections available. https://www.orchestraltools.com/free
  4. TODAY ONLY (1st April). FREE Emotional Recorder. The Legato on this is terrific. Emotional Recorder | Fracture Sounds 👍
  5. 'Spinal Tap, the directors cut'' . Never-before-seen footage ? I'm sure if you hunt hard enough, there are YouTube videos of Spanish Flamenco players from the 50's or, the early 60's, thumbing, double thumbing and string pulling.
  6. Not guilty, M'lud. It must be another Lowdown.
  7. I can't really hang around waiting for post# 75. So here you go...
  8. Don't worry about it. I posted something completely in the wrong thread. I was aiming for the 'Enter Sandman' thread... while I had two Browsers open....and missed.
  9. 0r 25 or 6 to 4. I'm patiently waiting for post# 75...Then I can slide right in with a good 'un.
  10. Ah, okay. You are after a modulation FX plug in.
  11. A mid 70's video of The HeadHunters (about 30 minutes long).
  12. I liked how Macca went from co-writing 'She Loves You' in the 60's, with a Pot Smoker who thought he was Jesus, to co-writing a 70's smash hit Bond theme with a woman who made plastic Sausages. He certainly had a sense of humour. He didn't change the World for me. That's a bit over the top but, he has a place in pop history. I always thought he was original and a natural musician, who also had a good pair of ears when it came to melody.
  13. This page link below has a full templates for major DAW's. You can load up the full Orchestra in one hit. It's such a light library, with a small RAM footprint, that it hardly touches the sides. So, your Puter shouldn't scream out in pain. A modest Laptop will run it with no problems. Discover Templates — THE PAGE (spitfireaudiothepage.com) Most of the templates have two versions: 1) One track per articulation (there are only two articulations - long and short). 2) One track with both the long and short articulations (for use with keyswitching - C-2 and C#-2).
  14. 'Both Sides, Now (2000)', Is really worth a listen. The terrific Vince Mendoza arranged and conducted the Orchestra. The musicians credit list is pretty formidable, but don't let that put you off as a chops album, it's not. Both Sides Now (Joni Mitchell album) - Wikipedia
  15. I thought this might be of use to some. A 2021 list of free instruments available for download. The 19 Best Free VST Instruments in 2021 (musicianonamission.com)
  16. My take as well and to be honest, I've always thought that over the years.... I can say that with confidence now I'm 64.
  17. On 'In France They Kiss on Main Street', Pat's lick when he's tidying up his solo always gets me (4:41) ...Then straight after, his quote at around 5:32. A great way to warm up and start a gig... On the ballads and slower tunes, I particularly like Jaco's touch, feel and tone. Although, I lost interest in his solo spot when it slithered up his backside a bit. I thought the whole concert had great dynamics from Joni and the players, and for me, the musicians on show oozed bucket loads of skill, feel and technique.
