  1. Maybe at the time, you should have recruited a Drummer who could keep time. You could have avoided all those wasted years. In hindsight, maybe you should have got him "A Simple Metronome With A Big Flashing Light"
  2. I did, but I didn't understand what you were talking about. Judging by your post, neither did you. That's why I asked. 👍
  3. Yep, and most of this in the link below as well. Please enter at your own risk - It's a dot com for Drummers. This Is Why Drummers Are So Important In A Band
  4. Haha...I really like the George Benson version of White Rabbit. 😁
  5. Do you have to shove it in his face? If not, can I suggest you get a vibrating metronome, because I can think of a better place to 'shove it'. 😂
  6. I remember getting this album when it first came out (I was 15). I still listen to it quite a bit these days. Some really nice arranging from Don Sebesky and of course, produced by the late, great, Creed Taylor. Both who were the team behind 'The Other Side of Abbey Road'.
  7. John King does a good groovy job sitting and laying it down...
  8. Just watched this video about the terrific 'Jeff Porcaro'. The fellow was the absolute master when it came to feel and groove:
  9. Personally, I wouldn't have two identical cases. I would have a Red & a Black.
  10. Mike Verta's channel is good for Piano/Keys as well. Lots of great tips.
  11. Rick Beato for me as well... Also, I like Media Music Composer, Guy Michelmore. His YouTube channel is updated regularly with composing and music theory tips, along with software demonstrations etc.
  12. Name and shame 'The Sh*thouse pub in Slough' on all the Social Media sites to let other bands/musicians know what happened.
  13. I think Canadian Jazz singer, Chantal Chamberland, did a version in 'F'. She has quite a low register.
  14. Funny enough, I've just heard that on the car radio and had forgotten how much I really dislike everything about it. A very popular cover though!
  15. Also, there doesn't seem to be any credits on all the usual sites for that album.... Which I thought would have opened the door for Carol Kaye to claim it was her. **
  16. It seems the track in question was recorded at 'Hitsville USA' in 1970. That's before Motown moved it's headquarters over to LA in 1972. So the Bassist could be Bob Babbitt or Jamerson?
  17. Indeed...and we're still waiting (for an answer).
  18. The 60's were great for Big Band theme tunes... I don't really need to post The Flintstones (Rhythm Changes) theme. It's probably ear worm to a few of us ...
