Chunk Systems - Brown Dog £320 Might as well be the Brown rocking horse poo. Probably the closest thing to a clean square wave. Very clean attack to the sound. no glitchyness. Dont really want to sell this. if the other two sell, this will be withdrawn. Mountain electronics Magnetar £160 Huge variety of fuzz tones out of this one. very tweakable. Beetronict Octahive £165 boxed with instructions and stickers! This thing is just plain nasty. on the higher gain settings it seems to rip through spacetime straight into your earholes. Very fun. check out the internals!

    A friend of mine got a FI and hated it. I had assumed he sold it long ago... but no. He persevered and cleaned up his technique and muting. And now he's a monster on synth bass and his playing is better and more refined all round. He is not on here, but if he was I'd be tagging him to congratulate him on his progress. Well done Kirsty.

    a simple signal splitter (LS2) then a LPF and a HPF in paralell. process the chain with the HPF then recombine with the Lows with another LS2. By the time you have done this however you may as well have bought a helix stomp. Carefull with phase however as has been mentioned. somwhere online there was a comprehensive list of pedals which invert phase. Ive only encountered 1 which was a solid gold FX pedal.
