  1. I experienced freezing og mine when I first got it. It was attributed to corrupted patches that were downloaded fron tinterweb. A fresh install, wipe soon eliminayed the issue since.
  2. 30% off software now on the line 6 store. if your a stomp/HX FX owner, you can now get native for £69! edit: but it was only £79 before i hear you say? yes it was, but whoever posted that forgot to include US taxes
  3. I get my 5 string sets on amazon. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Elixir-Guitar-Ultra-Thin-Nanoweb-Coating/dp/B0002E1O6I Let me know if you find them cheaper elsewhere
  4. Spectracomp will save 1 block May I ask what your doing that needs more than 6 blocks? I very rarely get to 6 on my stomp.
  5. anybody struggling with the FI editor, or synthesis in general might enjoy this. https://learningsynths.ableton.com/get-started its a fantastic primer for all things synth.
  6. yes i've been keeping an eye on the L6 forums and TGP. it gets pretty brutal! I think this will be the last time they announce a firmware update with any timescale associated. at the end of the day, it will be ready when its ready! no amount of beaching and moaning will change that.
  7. rumor has it that the 2.80 firmware might drop in the coming days.
  8. Saw The Feeling at oceanfest on Sunday. Dam they were good!

They still going? Cool. I do like a bit of them; nice tunes, excellent bass playing too.

yes - likewise I've seen them a couple of times over the years (2009ish and 2013ish i think) and they're a great live band.

  9. There's a Redwitch fuzz god 2 on ebay going cheap.... https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F283511406327
  10. Looks like most helix owners here at least think it's a usefull addition. I think you vastly underestimate how many people have home/professional reccording setup. And the majority of those would find HX native a valuable addition at a very good price.
  11. This. and fewer blocks. Although the biggest plus for me is that I don't have to tear my board apart and set it up on an output/input on my interface DAW. it's a right pain. Then you have 4 additional DA/AD/DA/AD conversions. As soon as I have another reccording project requiring high quality effects. I'm going for native. Its an absolute no brainer bargain.
  12. Peter you are doing quite a service here! i can't wait to put all these delicious sounds in my V3 FI. Squanchy for president!
  13. if you haven't tried elixirs yet.... then Elixirs. trust me i sweat like a pig in a slaughterhouse. Elixirs!
  14. i'm a convert for elixir strings too! i've had them on my jazz for months now and they still sound like new. just put them on my other sandberg TM bass too. wont ever look back now string search over.
  15. heed that i had no need so it had to be freed from my breed, but it is indeed a fantastic steed!
  16. Peter that "Squanchy" patch is making my danglies tingle!! can you share that patch please?
  17. I broke my board down to raise some funds a few months back.... But who am I kidding... Its back Newest addition is the Enzo.
  18. if the OP has a specific pedal in mind that has some space inside that could be reduced then im up for another project. However, my electronics skills are virtually non existent so you would have to do all the rewiring/rebuttoning legwork yourself.

  20. upon closer inspection of the video, it actually looks like he is filling the zero fret. the file never quite gets to the bottom of the slot in the nut...
  21. because the string is always in contact with the zero fret, it cannot be made from nickel alloy like frets are, as its too soft. it's usually stainless steel as far as i'm aware. because of this, it cannot be leveled with the other frets so the best option is to leave it high and then file a slot as you would in the nut. This is my understanding, im happy to be corrected.
  22. Thanks, but that raises more questions than it answers.... firstly, he appears to be filing the nut there and then checking string height above the fret.... but the zero fret defines the string height at the nut? second.... checking the height at 1st fret with a string that's NOT under tension?
