the Processing in the Stomp is identical to tht in the full fat helix. And there are literally hundreds of comparisons on youtube for that. To my ear its verry VERY good at drives, but not so great at filters/octaves.

To My ear the First bass is the warmer, little more low mid content?.. whereas the 2nd has more defined attack, and a touch more hifi to my ear....So my guess is ....1st - fender, 2nd - Lakland (they are incredibly similar tho!)

Configuring the Expression Pedal It is easier than ever to set up expression control using the Aftershock’s new calibration and mapping method. When the expression pedal is connected to the Aftershock, follow these simple steps to calibrate it and map it to control different effect parameters. 1. Press the CONTROL INPUT button to turn on Control Input mode. The CONTROL LED should be lit green. 2. Press and hold the CONTROL INPUT button until the CONTROL LED begins to blink slowly (approximately one blink per second). 3. Move the expression pedal over the range of motion you would like to use to control the Aftershock. If you would like to use the expression pedal’s full range of motion, then make sure to move the pedal all the way from its minimum position to its maximum position. Note that you can create “dead zones,” if desired, by only moving the expression pedal over a limited region of its full range of motion. 4. After setting the expression pedal range, click the Aftershock’s footswitch once. The calibration is now complete, and the CONTROL LED will blink faster (about 2 blinks per second). Now, it is time to map the expression pedal to the effect parameters. 5. Move the knob(s) you wish to control with the expression pedal to the minimum desired position, then click the Aftershock’s footswitch. The CONTROL LED will now blink even faster (about 4 blinks per second). Note that you may control one or more knobs with the expression pedal, up to four total knobs. 6. Move the knob(s) you wish to control with the expression pedal to their maximum desired position, then click the footswitch. The CONTROL LED will now be lit solid green. Note that you may control one or more knobs with the expression pedal, up to four total knobs. 7. After setting the minimum and maximum knob positions, the parameter mapping is complete. Note: The parameter range can be inverted by swapping the minimum and maximum position of the knobs during configuration. -

Even with the Fuzz dialed back, there's still a Gnarly amount of gristle on the tone. yes 2 mastos! one of them is used exclusively in the GR2 loop on a downsweep

I'm not really sure where to put this thread, but i thought more relevant people will see it here... but if its more appropriate somewhere else, mods please move me I have a access to a very accurate laser scanner and reverse engineering software, so im able to digitise pretty much anything from the real world, so it can be precisely replicated. For example, if someone wanted a very specific neck profile copied from another guitar, i could scan the neck, create the CAD, and with a CNC router, you could in theory reproduce it. Im happy to offer these services for free to hobbyists as im creating content for my blog. Hit me up if you have questions.

am i correct in saying all TC pedals are digital? If so thats alot of AD/DA conversion going on! do you ever notice any latency with more than say 6 or 7 pedals?

Ive had the GR-20 and the GR-55 in the past. Tracking was very similar on both units. The sounds more versatile on the 55 of course as its 2 decades newer. However, if i was to consider another, i would give the 20 some serious thought as they can be picked up for much less.

Ive been using a duster with some silver polish wrapped around a credit card for years with the most excellent results. Pinch the duster behind the card, and it glides nicely over the top of the frets in circular motion, not risking any contact/damage to the fretboard at all. I usually put lemon oil on a rosewood board first, that makes any stray polish really easy to clean off the wood. whilst im at it i usually use the corner of the duster covered card to get down the sides of the frets into the corners to get the gunge out. I've been doing this for 10 years or more at lest once every 3 months with excellent results. Silver polish is very mild, but If a more abrasive polish is necessary to remove deep scratches, brasso can be used.
