  1. sounds like a massive faff. and resale value would be £0 18 mm on a 5er is not uncommon, no need to butcher anything as im not committed to an SR. i just think they are pretty. ...Im on the hunt for an Xotic PJ really
  2. see my post a few back... BTB are ugg! the only Ibby in my future is an SR with 18-19mm ss
  3. Oh yes the SR range has a tiny body! Not much comes in smaller than that except maybe the Cort Curbow springs to mind? The A5 is not a chunk tho, it has very ergonomic profile.
  4. just to answer the original question however.... Cort bass guitars are IMHO outstanding value for money, especially when buying 2nd hand. Best 5er i ever had under 1K was a Cort A5 custom SP, and i believe they are made in the same factory as Ibanez. this one actually...http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Cort_A5_Custom_SP_SH.htm *that's the exact bass! i checked the serial number! not that i needed to, as that top is very unique! the person i sold it too must have traded it in.
  5. Don't NEED anything. Just gassing those SRs are so pretty I just couldn't consider an ATK or BTB, it would be like settling for the one of the ugly sisters!
  6. just doing a bot of research myself and this caught my eye.... https://www.dawsons.co.uk/ibanez-2018-sr2605-premium-electric-bass-guitar-cerulean-blue-burst?gclid=CjwKCAiA9qHhBRB2EiwA7poaeKI0FK4O3hGUU9viLxiYY_DCY0ZVHG3pxHtnXhan5LP3s2XAZgMqcBoC-SEQAvD_BwE says 19mm? if that's correct, id be seriously tempted!
  7. i used to have an Ibby SR505 5 stringer but found the string spacing a bit too tight for me. 14mm if i recall... I notice however that the newer premium range seems to have a different bridge setup. What are the string spacings at the bridge and are they adjustable?
  8. Just incase anybody missed this..... There is a thread about this video somwhere but I couldn't locate it.
  9. Sorry just seen this. I've never used the Es8 for that so can't really help there sorry.
  10. Evidence audio Monorail Solderless system that has never let me down! I can make a new cable in minutes! Love em!
  11. I can't belive the SA manta hasn't been mentioned here yet! Check our Adams other vids for more of the same!
  12. Interesting topic! You clearly have gone to a lot of trouble to record those! Any chance you have a waterfall plot like the one below to show comparisons on a frequency scale?
  13. is there any way the mods can block me from looking at the for sale forums?

It`s actually not a bad idea at all, aside from if wanting to sell items of course.

  14. it looks like its been buried underneath a house for 10 years. then the house burned down, and hey found it whilst digging the foundations for the new house 10 years later!!
  15. you can power any 9v pedal with a 9v battery. Just because it doesn't fit inside, doesn't mean it wont work ( Digital pedals wont last long mind you as they are power hungry!) All you need is a plug that fits into the pedal, a battery and some sellotape. make sure the -ve terminal on the battery goes to the centre.
  16. Try powering it with a 9v battery. If it works you know it's the power supply(s) at fault.
  17. yes. but you will have to overtake @Al Krow before that happens i find my FI tracks noticeably better with my P with flats, than a jazz with rounds. I attribute that to there being less overtones/ more fundamental for the tracking to lock onto.
  18. I can see your Watts going through the roof on this one Peter! Thanks

Pour some Glayva on a saucer then leave it in the icebox thing overnight. Makes a great syrup for the morning after toast 😎

I used to love Baileys but sadly can't do dairy anymore so we brought some vegan Baileys called Almonde, I love it, to me it tastes the same as Baileys but with none of the lovely side effects that original Baileys brings!

  21. This is hands down the best gated fuzz for synth bass sounds. GLWTS
  22. If i gave up gear for a year, id have to give up Basschat for a year.... And i'm just not prepared to do that to you!
