  1. I'm 90% sure you can set the mixer to 0 or - 4db I'd have to check those values tho. There is no volume controll as such.
  2. erm.... actually they are Aluminium... The kind that's pronounced Alu-MIN-ium.
  3. I got 50% off a set of pans in John lewis this morning
  4. Greetings pedal lovers, Up for grabs today is the supremely powerful Line6 HXFX, purchased new by me at the end of July. Its been tested at home, never gigged or used in anger, as such its still in MINT condition.... But i did take the feet off and put some high quality velcro on the underside. comes with original box and power adaptor. basically as new. Its updated to the latest 2.6 firmware which adds a lot of bass related goodies! I'm sure by now you know what its capable of, but if there's any questions please let me know. Collection is free from shoreham, or add £15 for insured shipping to your letterbox. Thanks for watching!
  5. I read this thread topic as Ear-Thing ...as you were.
  6. So far i've only really got to grips with the Saturation side of the pedal. I use it as a low-medium gain saturation which sounds excellent going into modulation in the HX and also before filters as it gives the filter a fatter sound to chew on. I also quite like what it does to a really hot synth signal, as it seems to compress and add punch whilst taking away some of the brittle highs.

    Sold..

    way ahead of you peter!
  8. Anybody else considerd the hxfx and a stomp. That would be one versatile setup! As the fx has all the controll capablity, and the stomp has amps. Effects can be shared between the 2 units. Might be just a brain fart, but seems to make sense to me...
  9. But only 6 blocks!!!!!!!!! I regularly use more than that on my hxfx
  10. I got my first loop switcher a few years ago. A joyo pfl live I think its called. It was an absolute game changer for me. I mean it was a pain to program, but much simpler to fun a board live. I upgraded to the es8 shortly after as once I got my head around switching, the es8 has soo much to offer. The parallel loops, midi pc and cc. Changing the order of pedals, pc patch editor.... The list goes on. They are phenomenal bits of kit!
  11. Stuart Zender. he is mentioned in the clip as the current owner of the bass you "recognised"
  12. Nope. The hx effects has an EBS octave emulation in it. Has excellent tracking and a lovely growl to it. I do so times miss my Octamizer tho, although that was used for a slightly different purpose.
  13. this might help. https://www.talkbass.com/threads/boss-oc-2-volume-mod.1051293/
  14. There is a very simple mod that involves unsold eering one side of one resistor on the - 2 circuit that adds 3db to the output. @dodge_bass can tell you more than I can
  15. if i'm honest, i prefered the wonderlove tone in the clip too. But to my ear the attack was set significantly faster on the wonderlove and that's what i like so that makes sense. Filters are as much about feel to me as they are about sound, so im going to reserve my judgement until i get my hands on one.
  16. First bass review and a video just posted on TB. https://www.talkbass.com/threads/3leaf-audio-club-episode-2.957647/page-189
  17. Yeah I'm pretty uninterested now I've seen the price. But it got me thinking.... If its the best sounding, most responsive filter I've ever heard... Will I drop £350 Yes. If its not quite up to expectations there's a plenty big market for 2nd hand gear round here. Might loose a 50??? All depends on the demos. Still waiting...
  18. Oohhhh.... ive always fancied one of these....
