It's personifying the bass as a man.. And he seduced two beautiful women in one night. Most I ever did was one....

i think anything that helps users power their pedals correctly is a step in the right direction. i used to pay little attention to which outputs on my PP2+ and fuel tank jr, were powering which pedal.... then i started to care (got educated on here) and actually planed the power supply to my board in the same way i plan the signal chain. as a result, my board is noticeably quieter, some (all?) combination of effects for sure sound better and the 2 power supplies under my board run cooler. and there is less chance that things will go bad mid set... win, win, win, win.
-
to be fair, he does state that he painted that himself

are you looking for pedals that self oscillate? as in.... feed some output into the input?
-
I back to backed them a few times. To my ears there was no competition on the fuzz side. The zeus is gnarly and sputtery. Whereas the okto was just a bit smoother. I sold the okto on swiftly. Strokes for folks tho. The octaves were comparable but again the zeus won out for me.
-
I LOVE MINE. The fuzz can get really sputtery, and nasty and sounds amazing in front of a filter. The octave side is clean and fat and very OC2 like. the only reason i havent got mine on the board is that 2 sided pedals dont fit in with my modular ES8 pedalboard approach. using each side in isolation would involve more tap dancing than i like and opens up the mid set errors that i try so hard to avoid

Anybody else tried broughton audio synth voice yet?? I picked one up in the for sale section on here a couple of weeks ago. It tracks super low!! No glitching all the way down to low c, and Sounds fantastic! Even gets into meatbox territory subs. I haven't spent much time with it yet but it's a different animal to any octave I've tried. It's more focused on generating pureish sinewave like synth tones. Kinda like a oc2 but cleaner. And has the same thing at unison as well. With a clean blend. I can see it being a well used pedal in my realm. I decided to take the meatbox off the board as I only use it live. It's a bit overkill for Home practice and rehearsal which is the majority of my playing time. I'll still use it live off the board. But it will free up some space for now. Gotta find space for the bananana bass synth too. I feel a board rebuild coming on....

For sale is my Sire Marcus Miller V7 5 string fretless bass I purchased it new March 2017 for a project at the time that never really took off. As a result its been sat in its case ever since. Its in AS NEW condition, only played a handful of times, certainly never gigged. No damage/play wear at all. When i purchaced it, i couldn't believe the quality for and instrument of this price bracket. I was literally blown away by the finish, sound and looks of this bass. But its been sat in the case now too long and im never going to play it so its time to let it go. Its perfect for someone wanting to try a fretless but dont want to pay a huge sum of cash. Collection preferred from Shoreham nr Brighton. But i will pack for a courier of your choice/booking. i do travel occasionally towards Bristol and the midlands so let me know where you are if your interested. here are the specs fretless 5-string electric bass made by Sire swamp ash body 1-piece maple neck C neck profile, maple fretboard 7,25" (18,42 cm) fretboard radius 34" long scale, string spacing 18 mm 46mm saddle width bone nut 2 x Marcus Super Jazz pickups Marcus Heritage-3 electronics with frequency control, volume/tone (dual pot), pickup blender, treble, middle/middle frequency (dual pot), bass mini toggle (active/passive) equipped with 2x9 V batteries Marcus Big Mass bridge chrome hardware finish: tobacco sunburst link to original https://www.thomann.de/gb/marcus_miller_v7_swamp_ash_5_fl_ts.htm

Is this normal? Sandberg Zero-Fret Content
GisserD replied to cLepto-bass's topic in Repairs and Technical
There is a fair bit of misunderstanding about a zero fret in this thread. (& also a healthy amount of fact also) I'd encourage anybody who is interested, to research thoroughly on reputable sources. *Especially before filing slots it a zero fret to lower the action -
Is this normal? Sandberg Zero-Fret Content
GisserD replied to cLepto-bass's topic in Repairs and Technical
My sandberg has the same thing. It's an unfortunate side effect of sandberg factory fitted nickel/copper frets and stainless strings. The string is much harder than fret and over time it's inevitable that these grooves will appear caused by tuning (and maybe string vibrations?) Fortunately replacing a single fret is not complicated or overly expensive with a qualified Luther. -

^this I could only get useful sounds out of it in a ls2 clean blend loop.thete are way better filters out there tbh. However At that price point for all its capabilities its probably the best value pedal out there.... The bananana Matryoshka comes close tho...

Less Dumble... More just plain old dumb!

lets revive this dying thread!!! i purchased a bananana matryoshka 2nd hand here a month or so ago. First time i tried it it sounded good, but not great.... my impressions were it was noisy, glitchy and temperamental..... so i put it on the shelf and haven't touched it since.... until yesterday when i decided to make a list of the pedals i should sell to make room/cash for other unnecessary equipment. i actually put the bananana in the pile to be sold. After work i decided to plug it in to give it one last go before i put it up for sale (i diddnt expect it to hang around)..... ....... ohhhh myyyy goooooood god, this thing sounds amazing!!!! it turns out the first time i tried it i must have been driving the input too hot as it was pinning the filter against the roof every time i touched the strings. but with the volume rolled back on my sandberg it really opened the pedal up.The filter became responsive, the noise and glitches dissapeared and i was in synth nirvana. Some of the subs that this tiny pedal can put out are simply astonishing. its reactive to the strength of the string attack like no filter ive ever used. (and ive tried a fair few!!!) my favorite setting is the gated fuzz (orange) setting with the ctrl wide open. no dry and out 1+2 fully open. oct fully up and resonance at 2 ish. this pedal is a seriously powerful piece of gear and i encourage anybody into synth pedals to try one. needless to say... now mine isn't going anywhere! edit. added a quick sample of the pedal 1st part - dubstep style riff 2nd part - demo of how controllable the filter sweep... into more riffing bananana sample.mp3
