  1. I tried a few and now I use Song Book Pro. It's pretty cheap, around $7, and has some nice features while still easy to use. We have Android and iOs-users in my bands and it works on both.
  2. That wood is just beautiful!
  3. 21 basses and three amps in just over 1 square meter. It's all about height! They are normally in their cases, but still in the rack.
  4. Cream! Because of the maple fretboard.
  5. A Gibson Les Paul bass! Tried a number of them but the neck makes my wrist hurt after a few minutes. My wrists are bad because of work so I need necks to be shallow front to back.
  6. I always bring two identical basses. On gigs both are plugged in via an A/B box. They have never failed me, but I use padded straps and sweat a lot! So its nice to swap basses when one strap is all damp. 😁
  7. For me its simple: Rick Springfield's Tao album. I was so heavily into RS that I still listened almost daily to his Human Touch-album from 83.
  8. Saw him live with MSG. Into the Arena bass solo with his 3-pickup explorer. I wanted an explorer since that day!
  9. I can relate! πŸ˜„ But i went the budget route and opted for a DIY kit. And like you i found not omly surprisingly comfortable, but i really like how it hangs on a strap.
  10. You might wanna talk to a sign-shop or car wrap place. There are some nice flip vinyls. I'm a signmaker and have done it to guitars and basses, for myself and customers. To do just the front of the bass would be much cheaper (here in Sweden anyways) And its totally reversible if you find you don't like it or want to sell it in the future.
  11. I have seven Vantage VP-710B's with two identical pairs. I started with one, then a spare for it, then one for BEAD, then a spare for that. Then I found one in better shape, and then one in even better shape! And one to donate spare parts. I know most won't understand, but what can i say... I'm obsessed with them 🀣
  12. I watched the video and liked it so much that I ordered his book πŸ˜€
  13. The Mockingbird was like 320 euros from some Alibaba site. Big Johns or some other strange name πŸ˜„ Playable but not really enjoyable. The explorer is this kit: https://guitarkitfabric.co.uk/bass-guitar-kit-explorer-rosewood-7141269436247-en.html
  14. I have a fascination with pointy basses! Never have and probably never will play one in public, but I have bought two cheapies just to look at at home 😎
  15. That's a beautiful build!
  16. Didn't think about that.
  17. My vantages are symmetrical πŸ˜€

There is something both the look and sound of double P that makes me happy πŸ₯°

They are actually set-neck. I have paid between about €80 and €260 for mine, but seen them for sale for up to €800.

Supply and demand. I demand more than is supplied 😎
  22. I couldn’t resist. Got asked if I wanted to buy it, and almost said no, since I already have six Vantage VP-710B's. Then I saw that it was in better shape than any of my previous... so say hallo to "lucky number seven"!
  23. It was fun! Played outdoors at a camping site where the guitarist has a caravan permanently parked. We played as a favour to the guitarist and site owner. Singer started with five songs as a trubadur, and then we played 2 x 6 songs. After 3 encores we passed a bucket and made roughly half of a pub-gig πŸ˜ƒπŸ’° I know shorts are sometimes frowned upon, but I played in cargo-shorts and bare feet! 🀣
  24. I think we have similar taste πŸ˜€

    Vantage Dual P

Sorry, but i have never seen a diagram of a Vantage. I imagine that it is very similar to the wiring of a les paul, since they have the same pickups/controls/switch setup.
