  1. I've been looking at those. I read that it will stop the bridge from bending, and since i changed the bridge on 5 of my 6 basses with that kind of bridges because of bending, this looks like a cheap way to prevent that. How would you say the sound changes, what It does for the tone?
  2. Easy. Phil Lynott for me. He changed everything for me in regards of bassplaying! His rhytmic approach especially.
  3. Fully understandable, since i take every chance i can to show them. Quite the coincidence we posted the same picture at the same time! 😀
  4. I have a deep love for double P. And Vantage basses! Hence my six Vantage VP710B. Matsumoku basses from late 70's early 80's. Edit: just saw that TheGreek posted a pic of my collection...😎
  5. I find that the 710b's which is almost the same bass have quite a neckdive. The DiMarzio clones are IMO more "mid-rangy" and don't sound anything like a P. But my 710's have double P's... But i think Vantages are beautiful instruments. Well crafted and sound awesome. That's why i have six of them!
  6. They are old japanese basses from the Matsumoko-factory. Great craftmanship and the twin P-pickups are DiMarzio clones. These are from 1980, 1981 and 2 x 1982.
  7. I'm as happy as can be. After"settling" for Vantages that feels and plays like one that was stolen in -91, i found an auction for one IDENTICAL to the stolen one! I was the only bidder so naturally i won. That takes my total up to four Vantage 710B's!
  8. I love double P's. I got 3 Vantage VP 710B and absolutely love the sound!
