Hi, Yes it is and as for the contols..... see attached pic (Top Row: Master Vol, Blend, Active/Passive Switch. Bottom Row: Tone, 2-Band OBP2 EQ). The Tone works in both Active & Passive modes and when the EQ is run flat at the centre point the volume between Active & Passive remains the same and only increases when boosted. I've just noticed a slight crackle occasionally with that Tone control.

An 80s Made in Japan Aria Pro II Laser Heritage, the passive version, that has seen better days cosmetically. 34" scale length. I think these were intended to be the 'budget SB' basses or something like that. Works a treat and does what it's supposed to do, but a previous owner had used a grinder (yes, a grinder) to add some kind of effect to the body. I did a bit of repair work on it given what I got it for and marks are still visible over the body (nitro black with nitro gloss)..... but to do it properly it'd have been a Chris Squier job and take a layer of wood off it from all over, even from the edges, and it'd have looked weird and probably sounded weird. Popped in a complete new solderless loom, as the wiring had seen better days, and a replacement blank TRC given the original 'heritage' one was missing. Sounds great and nice to play, but the pickups are originals and their outputs are a bit all over the place, so I only really use it on the P-PUP. Also set up with what I think were 100-40 rounds. Would be a nice 'spare', project, doner bass or doer-upper, although I like it as it is....... adds a bit of character I reckon 🙂 Weighs in at 4kg (8.8lb). Happy to post (not Hermes) and no case or gig-bag.

2003 G&L Tribute SB-2 in great condition and not long ago set up with what I think were 100-40 rounds. I also recall seeing the electronics were marked 'Made in Japan' although a G&L forum confirmed the bass isn't MIJ (Korean I think they said). Bought it on here as one of my many impulse buys, but time to move on as I only ever used the P-PUP and also have an LB-100 Tribute with a fatter neck, so use that one more. No case or gig-bag (never came with one), but might be able to find a cheapo one to throw in. Weighs in at 4.3kg (9.5lb). Being an older model it has a different embossed logo on the bridge and a different headstock decal. Price includes postage (not Hermes).

Bacchus Craft STD-JB4 ASH from the Craft Series line, made in Japan between 2014-2017 and now discontinued. I'm not really a Jazz bass type, although this was yet another impulse swap, and sticking to my Ps, so time to move it on. Weighs in at 4.2kg (9.3lb), so not bad at all really for an ash bass. Not long ago set up with 100-40 rounds if I remember. No case or gig-bag (never came with one), but might be able to find a cheapo one to throw in. Added: Just noticed an occasional slight crackle with the Tone control. Price includes postage (not Hermes). Two-piece ash body Active/Passive Aguilar OBP2 preamp Gotoh bridge & tuners Bone nut More info here:

2021 Squier Classic Vibe 70s Precision bass, so obviously in great condidition and all set up with 105-45 rounds. Another one of my impulse buys, but time to move on as I now have three 🙂 Weighs in at 3.9kg (8.6lb) for those who like a weight. I think these are about £330 new. No case or gig-bag (never came with one), but might be able to find a cheapo one to throw in. I'm led to believe, but may be wrong, that after they stopped making the sought after early Chinese ones they started making them in the Cort and Samick workshops (may even be the same place for all I know) with one being seen as a smidge better (I think this may be a Cort one). Obviously, all that may be incorrect and I may have dreamt it, but it's the best I can make out. Price includes postage (not Hermes).

Ian was on the look out for a Yamaha BBPH, so I sold him mine as I only had it as a Covid buy....... not even a fan of Peter Hook, so glad it went to someone who'd appreciate it more 🙂 Offered to courier it, but he collected given it sounded like PMT lost his previous one. Top man, collected and paid online at the same time.

£60 includes postage (not Hermes) as I'd rather someone got the use of it and it's now too late to return...... £99 new I think. An as new unused and effectively unopened Pedaltrain NOVO 18 complete with the soft case, shoulder strap, Velcro rolls and cable ties (all complete as it arrived). Even has original packaging! Sadly a Covid buy and I have no idea what I was thinking given I only use a couple of pedals. Seemed the right size when guessing with a tape measure and my plans for a few more pedals. Completely unused and been longer out of its case to take these photos than at any other time 🙂

4ohm Barefaced SUPER 12 + Roqsolid padded cover. In good overall condition but with the usual battle scars as this was my main gigging cab. I've tried too show the marks etc on the pics and you can hopefully zoom in. The Roqsolid cover does the job and has a little wear to it in a few places. Nice and lightweight, plus the tilt-wheels are also pretty useful...... although it doesn't really need them (it's a one hand lift). I'll not go on about how good these are as most know and there are a few threads on here about them and the differences between the newer SUPER TWIN. If sold I'd rather it was collected but being in the Midlands I'm easy to get to. Having said that, I have packing facilities so I'd look at a courier (not Hermes), or you could arrange your own and I'd even meet somewhere for petrol money as long as it's not too far away. If you're one of those who likes pristine kit even though it sounds exactly the same please remember it was a gigging cab 🙂

Barefaced 'Guess Who' - Super 12 or Super Twin?
Shepster8316 replied to Shepster8316's topic in Amps and Cabs
Any idea if they sound different in any way to the Super Twin that came after? -
I have a Barefaced 2x12" which I always thought was a Super Twin, but now after looking to move it on it could be a Super 12. It's 30" in height, which is kind of the only really measurable difference, so I now think it is a Super 12 (see pics), as the Super Twin is 29". All the other info on the two seems very similar and if anyone has used both I'd be grateful for any differences they in the sound? I'm after some info from the more informed in BC than I am just to confirm. Thanks in advance.

Barefaced TWO 10S, the one with the switchable ohms output of 4 & 12ohm, in a Carolina Blue Tolex finish which is actually a smidge darker than it shows in the pics (it's not white I can assure you.... was just very bright outside). Comes with its Barefaced padded cover, which are apparently £85 according to their website. Obviously been gigged, why wouldn't you, so has a few very light marks here and there, but no ripped tolex. I reckon I can post it too using the other half's UPS business contract, but other than that feel free to collect or I can meet somewhere for a few quid petrol money provided it's not miles away.
