1. As an ex pyro-technician for Cetera's Kiss tribute, using pyro, is, in any situation a big risk. I've seen some horrendous injuries(not in the Kiss tribute) from it. Even party poppers can be "dangerous"..... I'd suggest some hand held confetti cannons. At least they can be pointed away from unaware people, and give a better explosion.
2. Welcome
3.
This is a good point! The first time I heard an isolated bass track of mine I cringed so much
I still do....
4. Never seen a mexican like that, but remember some american models from the early-mid nineties that were very similar. If you can get that for £300, bit of a bargain, methinkst.......
5. Try T-CUT or Brasso. Not too abrasive.
6. I've had an old Rockbass Streamer, the one with the precision style bridge and two soapbar pickups. If the one you've seen is the same, the neck is very slim, jazz-ish. They are quite heavy though, but comfortable to play. I had mine modded before I got it with an MEC active circuit, so couldn't tell what it sounded like before, but the active sound was great.... Good value as well. Nige
7. Ok, give me your addy. I'll probably get it sent from work(ahem!!). Not in too much of a hurry?
8. I've just appropriated a nice piece of clear perspex, 5mm thick and approx 450x330mm sizewise. It was my intention to make a clear scratchplate for my Stingray, but just can't be @rsed.. Might be big enough for a precision!!!! Anyone interested? Might cost a couple of pounds to post. Nige This has gone, cheers.
9. That walnut is sweet, just calling for a high gloss finish
10. Welcome Nice bit of wood you've got there....
11. This..... but in a lefty!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/1965-FENDER-PRECISION-...=item3f07fd4989
12. Looking at the control layout, it's probably vol/3 band eq. The volume is probably a pull/push for active/passive. It's definitely a Glockenklang pre-amp, unless that's been changed.
13. Interesting.....................................
14. Good luck with that one , Clarky...... I'm after a YOB Precision as well. 1965..... Try finding a lefty!!!! Nige

16.
It's even better when your winding the apprentice up because he went with one of the towns bike. Only to find out his half day booked is for the GUM clinic and to be introduced to the umbrella
Harsh.... but funny
17. Any updates on this one?
18. Thought i'd add an opinion here. I'm using a 500w Terror through two 2x10 Ashdown ABM cabs for one band. They're 8ohm cabs that have been re-speakered to run at 400w, and the OTB is man enough to run them at not even a third of the volume/gain on tap. Great sound as well Nige
19. Buy one of the old DB series heads. Best bass amps they ever made. Nige
20. How about groundwounds/halfround strings, foam mute by the bridge and roll the high end off the bass/amp?
21. I work in Aston.... *shudders*
22.
You got one too? Did anyone NOT buy one?
Yeah, me..... no left handers
