1. Welcome... although i did mis-read your name as Rolf Harris first off...
2. We did a summer gig this year, where we blew the main supply to the farm and festival site. It was underground as well.....
3. This is probably your best bet.... http://www.roland.co.uk/products/productde...p=940&c=329
4. On our last recording, the engineer had muted the vital guitar solo track on one of our songs for our personal copies of the recording. Fortunately he'd actually recorded them...............
5. There's also the cheapskate's version, the Behringer BDDI21. Adds a bit of grit, some EQ and a DI out. If you want to try one out, you can borrow mine...... Nige
6. Looks like a Gibbo custom shop guitar...mmmmmmm
7. Very nice.....
8. Swapsy for a litre of tartan paint?
9. Welcome....
10. I like the "anti-dust carry bag"....... a bin liner with straps????
11.
Ooh, I've really wanted one since I saw the Magic Numbers a while back and it sounded ridiculously good! Problem is though, it's quite small and I wouldnt be able to use it as a bedside table like I do with my EBS/GK-in-a-flightcase combo! Truckstop
Of course you can..... you may have to reach further down, and have less crap on it, but it's do-able
12. I had a Gherson jazz. The bass itself was unremarkable, but the pickups in it were amazing.... don't know what they were though.
13.
Yr not wrong there. He only says it to annoy me, he knows I don`t listen to him The Terror is great tho. It is very warm, great for stuff we do in The Daves and probably stuff like Motley Crue etc. Tho I sure if I were to play finger-style, rather than with a pick & back off the gain a bit more, I could coax some nice Motown runs from my Precision through it. Think it also depends on the cab used - I weren`t over keen on the cabs I demoed it with, until I found the off control for the tweeters. It really has an old-school sound.
Lozz, i play finger style in my main band on a precision through the OTB into an Orange SP210 cab... Plenty of of old skool thump there Glad you're enjoying it!!! Nige
14. As a long term user, welcome to the OTB owners' club. What cab were you running through? Nige
15. Cant see the ad as the auction ended. Anyone pull the original for me to laugh at?
16. I really fancy a Lefty Super J.... . Can you imagine the confusion on the guitarists' faces?
17.
Looking around at my bits and bobs I've decided it's time to create a monster. Take one very abused Shergold Marathon body add one early 90s Allparts Jazz bass neck and bodge it together. It will require some neck pocket woodworkery but I have a man for that. I have a badass II I can use. Pickup is stone dead. Wonder if a MM sized one will fit? Got some pots and stuff so I'm only really short on a pickup and common sense. What can possibly go wrong?
Quite possibly everything, but good luck anyway
18. Sounds like a cross between Zappa and Was Not Was....
19. Quick update on the OTB...... Been using it as the main gigging set up since the beginning of the year, mainly using the SP210 cab. The band have been mightily impressed with the set up, and so has my back!!!! There hasn't been one situation where the head hasn't coped admirably. I've also used the head with an Ashdown stack of two ABM2x10 cabs at a couple of festivals, one playing my Dean Pace EUB through it. Yes, i'm still in love with it!!! Nige
20. Depending on the length of the shaft going to the "lollipop" part you'll need the BT1 or BT2. Ideally you'd need to drop tune the whole bass a tone to get down to C with the D-Tuner.
21. Welcome......
22. If i remember correctly, i have... At home Orange Terror head and SP210 cab, One rehearsal space, 2 x Ashdown 2x10 cabs. I take the Orange head. Second rehearsal space, Ashdown Mag300 2x10 combo and Ashdown 1x15 deep cab. Somebody's garage(can't remember who) Acoustic 360 head and cab. Somebody else's garage, Peavey 2x15, HH 4X12 and Crate 4x10. I tthink thats it.......................!!!
