1. Welcome... A £1000 can get you a lot of bass nowadays. Fenders seem to have taken a bit of a price hike recently, along with most of the other US brands. If you're prepared to buy second hand, Fenders jazzes, Sadowsky Metros, and even Sandberg California JJ's will give you a fair chunk of change as well. All quality choices..... Saying that, you may not get a chance to try them out beforehand. Nige
2. Try here.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HOFNER-STYLE-VIOLIN-...=item43a0e8348e
3. Decent laptop and some recording software/hardware.
4. Usually nobody, which is how i like it. All i want to do is pack up, get paid, and exit sharpish. Unless i'm waiting for a lift. Leave all the "networking" to the singer.
5. If you're running both 8 ohm cabs, you load will be 4 ohms, so with the OTB head set to 4 ohms, you'll be ok. Unless you turn everything up on the head(which you will NEVER need to do) , you're cabs will be safe. Trust me........... Nige
6. I've owned a JM4 for four years.... playabiity is amazing. Build quality is second to none for the money. The JM arrangement is great, i can get a good jazz tone, a very close MM tone, and with both pickups on the sound is phenomenal. Not played a JM5, but have been told by a very reliable source(an endorsee) that the 5er necks are very comfortable to use. Nige.
7. Very nice... I always wondered what the letter after the date on the neck meant, now i know. Cheers!!!
8. Slightly versatile, temperamental
9. Welcome to this side of the pond. Be prepared for our humour.....
10. I'm now buying another three SP210 cabs so i can gave an 8x10 stack, or not. I'm doomed.......... but i like it.
11. Orange Terror Bass.... Good. That's settled then

15. Right..... I'm feeling in a good mood today. I have a Dean Pace EUB that is sitting around doing very little at the moment. So me being uncharacteristicly generous I've decided to loan it out to anyone who needs one or who is curious about playing an EUB A few provisos.... West Midlands/Midlands only, as i won't post/courier it, so it needs to be collected and dropped back to me No people who have just signed up today..... I need to see some sort of history on here Contact details PM'd to me etc Perference will go to people i know/spoken to on here Apart from that.... you may notice from my avatar i am a lefty. The Dean is strung right-handed, i just find it easier to play that way round. Nige
16. Nice.... I notice a theme going on here
17. Forgotten this exists type bump.
18. I saw this tuner on fleabay. I think it's quite cool. Not entirely sure of it's accuracy http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Clip-Electric-Skull-...tar_Accessories
19. Calling Bassassin.........
20. The line up that recorded the first Montrose album .... Vocals, Sammy Hagar Guitar, Ronnie Montrose Bass, Bill Church Drums, Denny Carmassi
21. Don't forget the great gigbag/beer carrier with Orange on the front
22. Out of the two, definitely the Aguilars.
23. Bass Gallery in Camden, is quite possibly your best bet for all things bass in London. Rotosound are a good string IMO. Probably best off with a set of 40-100 gauge, or if you're like me, 45-105's. I also use Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinkys in 45-105, as they seem to keep the brightness for a bit longer. D'addario XL's are worth a punt as well. None are these are too expensive, possibly in the £15-18 range. Nige
24. You know..... i didn't even know i had a feedback thread!!! Cheers gents
