1. On the JM4, the MM pickup is nearer the bridge, so the sound is pretty close, but not quite. Possibly a little more focused on the mids.
2. Oh yeah... bass and treble controls are centre detented, so either side is cut/boost.
3. JM4 controls are... Volume, with pull up for passive Pick up pan pot Bass Treble There should be a micro switch on the control plate which is a coil tap(?). I just leave it on!!! In passive mode i think the eq is bypassed, but don't quote me. I tend not to use the passive bit...... Edited for spelling...
4. Been using a Terror Bass live since before last xmas. Played various size venues from small pubs to 500+ capacity venues and some festivals with it. The sound, to my ears is great, and suitable for pretty much everything i do... see my sig Loud with a capital loud, fairly versatile eq, switchable from 4 to 8 ohms, light and very portable. The only time i've found it to be too boomy is with the Orange SP210 cab on crappy wooden stages, but have just bought a Grammapad, so hopefully that will change. Also used it with a couple of Ashdown 2 x 10 cabs for an outdoor festival, and it rocked. Nige.
5.
I might regret this, but I think I want to trade my Wal for a high end 5 string, especially another Wal. It's a 1980 Custom with Niangon front & back. It's not for sale, trade only. cheers D.
That is gorgeous.......... trade you a stingray and my kidneys!!

Hello!

Welcome....
7. I played a Deluxe in a shop on Saturday, and was very pleasantly suprised by it. The neck was a little too slim when compared to my Sandberg jazz. Sound wise it did it everything from thud to sizzle and i would have liked a passive setting on it, but you cant have everything, eh? Weight wise, pretty light and the finish and set up were pretty much smack on.
8. Just received the Grammapad from Alan. Great comms, well packed and quick delivery. Nige
9. I quick fix i've used.... Clamp a small rubber washer between the body and the knob. It'll stiffen up the rotation and not damage the finish.
10. Welcome
11. Sounds about right, if he's got to remove the old one(s), fit the new one and do some height adjustments.
12. Where are you?
13. Floating raft in a castle moat for a wedding in Germany.
14. Excellent.... Loud, powerful(500w head into a 600w cab), great sound and tiny . My variety of bands play various venues from 100-500+ capacities and never had a problem. Bigger venues will always mic/DI your rig anyway.
15. Have a look at the Line 6 LD150.... Don't own one, but have used one it was great.
16. The 500w Terror Bass is suitable for ANY venue, so the 1000w is................ Trust me
17.
Please, not those puppies.
I have an old post bag and some bricks in the garden
18. Don't know what the question in German at the bottom means, but hopefully it translates as "are you having a laugh?"
19. Are you totally mental? Or is that just standard in your corner of the universe?
20.
As new condition - comes in the original box - £30 posted.
Pm on the way....
21. Going solo then?
22. The only problem i can see on this, is if you keep changing bodies, eventually you'll knacker the screw holes in the back of the heel. Mind, you could fit threaded inserts into the neck, and ferrules in the bodies.....
23. Sid Vicious....
