5. Very nice.. Better than the Alleva Coppolos a few threads up..
 6. I'm sure i had one of those in the early eighties from Musical Excuses for £30...... and $200 shipping????????????????
 7.
i was looking for a lefty BB414 myself - they're quite difficult to come by lately! have they stopped making them? or am i just being thick?
Have a look in your local PMT. That's where i got my lefty BB414.
 8. Have a look at the Yamaha BB414. Admittedly. it's a PJ pickup up arrangement, but the neck is very jazz-ish and it does sound good. Well within your budget as well. I use one too.
 9.
It’s very nice, but has anyone told you it’s the wrong way round?
Funnily enough...... no!!!! Go look at the pics in a mirror.
 10. Posted elsewhere D'oh... So here's a linky... http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=50821
 11. Picked this 98-99 3 band eq jobbie up last week. I like it. A lot.....!!!
 12. Well... I've now been informed by a fellow basschatter that they've started looking for another bass player (they contacted him), so we'll see how they get on!!! Apart from a telephone conversation with the drummer last thursday, still no contact. AND they haven't changed the web site yet. ps Rocky is still up his own arse......
 13. Correct me if i'm wrong, but can't you get an undercoat/filler type of spray can?
 14. My advice is start slow and build. Get a list of songs the artist is singing and if possible their versions of the songs or definitive versions so you know at least what might happen. If you can get chord charts from the guitarist/keys player, they're are always useful. Building lines is always easier if you know what notes are in a chord. Oh yeah.. enjoy yourself as well. If all else fails rip off Jamerson.
 15. How about one of these on the 'bay... 16.
Thought y'all might appreciate this
EEEKKKK!!! That's just wrong!!
 17. Worth looking into. I've played through the tour 400 and was very impressed with the sound and features. Not exactly the most hi-fi sounding amp ever, but for the money/power/features... certainly worth a look. Have you seen the Ashdown LG1000?
 18.
No, I'm doing OK. I'm finding that I'm becoming less and less reliant on the Jane-shaped voodoo doll, and the dartboard with Duncan's gurning face on it. And it's only taken 29 years so far. Jane and Duncan actually got married eventually. Some years later, they got divorced. When I found out, I chuckled a bit. I'm going to Hell for that, aren't I?
Not necessarily. Maybe one of Her Brittanic Majesty's asylums for the bitter, twisted and lonely!!!
 19.
Ah, not like it was back in my school days. We had none of yer fancy speaktext or interwebnet. No, back then she got her mate to come and tell you that you were dumped, only for her to immediately start going out with bloody Duncan Bright instead, just 'cos he was better at sport and stuff, yeah well thanks a bunch Jane. Errm, apparently.
Unlucky...... At least it was done by a person!!! Scarred for life???
 20. Cheers, for the support. I'm now a sea of calm.... compared to last night anyway!!!
 21.
yorick I see you're in Brum. Was the band the one with Rocky Shades as Dave?
Certainly is.... or was in my case.
 22.
They changed their minds. It happens. No excuse for not being completely upfront with you about it though and sacking you by e-mail is so pathetic as to be laughable. Doing a Dave Lee Roth is particularly difficult, what with the high kicks, mid air splits and general gymnastics. Now that you've left, begs the questions - was he any good?
As a Roth, "Dave" was pretty good. The high kicks were there, but the mid air splits... sadly not!
 23.
As usual, few people on this site will have the guts to be completely honest with you, so here goes. It's a Dave Lee Roth/Van Halen tribute band If you can't appreciate why wigs and spandex might be integral to the look, then maybe you are best out of it.
I can appreciate them. It's just from the start, the emphasis was on making good music and the spotlight being on "Dave", so not too much effort was required for the image, but also providing entertainment.
 24.
ROFL. Wigs? Plus one for sentiments previously expressed, you're better off without them and you'll find it easier to get another band than they will a competent bassist.
Oh yes, wigs........................ and spandex
