One of my rigs is a MAG 300w 2x10 combo run with a MAG 1X15 Deep cab and the sound in my opinion is good enough all round for most uses. So, as others have said... suck etc!!

Have you checked the battery? Put a brand new Duracell in, or run it on a psu. You'll never get exactly the same sound unless you've got the same bass/amp set up as in the videos. Do you play with a pick/fingerstyle?

Funnily enough i was reading a review of the Lindy Fralin 51 P-Bass replacement pickup. Its a stacked humbucker thats a direct replacement for the single coil standard pickup. That's an option for the 51 re-issue as it got a good review.

Have a look in your nearest Reverb/SoundControl. They're going t!ts up, so a bargain could be had!!!

I've used the same combo as yours for a few years, and you will definitely need an 8ohm extension cab to run the amp at the full three hundred watts rating. Mind you i've run the combo on it's own at metal gigs and heard myself over two guitarists. If you've only just got the combo take it back to the dealer and change it for something else. OR pick up an 8 ohm cab from this here forum. I use the Mag 115 deep cab with the combo.

Bought a Behringer Bass Driver/DI from Stevie. Deal went through swift, well packaged and worked as described. Good deal all round, cheers.
