1. Its always interesting to hear from someone who has found more luck elsewhere with a bass but i appreciate the feedback! You're right, a lot of basses play nicely, its about finding what you want. Hopefully i do with the ACG
2. Excellent feedback again thanks mate! I can't wait to try out the filter system, I'm getting mine upgraded to latest preamp with a coil switch on the RFB Humbucker, and blue luminlay LED lights on the frets. All coming to around £1,149
3. Seems like a top bass! GLWTS!
4. thanks for the detailed breakdown! Alan has put no foot wrong since I've been chatting to him today, a very helpful guy! I've heard great things about his quality and I can't really complain about the price. I think he can capture what I'm after using his filter system
5. further building on your great feedback Mick, they do seem like great basses! thanks both so far
6. thats good to hear yeah i know roughly what I want, and they have something which would meet my expectations, at great value like you say
7. Hi guys like the title says, what are the pros and cons of an ACG bass would love to hear from anyone - ACG owner or not cheers! Taran
8. Whats that dearmond likr compared to a guild starfire 2?
9. You're right i might contemplate this The thread i posted in the original post has a great deal of info too
10. Hi guys Unfortunately after only a couple days of ownership I am afraid I have to give this bass up. Long story short, complications with my student loan that was expected to come has left me short, so I may have to move this on. You can see the original thread here with all the details of the bass (big thanks to Aero71 for kindly allowing me to use the pics and link): http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1 I've attached the pics also. It's in the UK now and I'll accept offers of £685. Its still in the same condition it was when I bought it and truly is a fantastic bass Thanks! Taran

would you take a part exchange? So a bass plus cash?
16. yeah thats true I noticed that, my preferred style!
17. i thought as much ok thanks guys! given the technique i was using, I'd only use it sparingly, as you need to get a good hold of the strings and pinch them, would be a lot of effort to learn how to transfer between strings quickly. I just wanted to know if I would damage it
18. hahahah! Well its similar! I like the tone it gives
19. does this ruin the bass? Pulling the string vertically so it lands and gives a real clanky sound? cheers Taran

Feedback for Aero71

great guy. Bought a custom JB5 Vander Bass from him at a great price, was very informative and swift with his replies and delivered very quickly from the Netherlands to the UK! Wholly recommend dealing with him
21. Saw The Who in July, incredible considering their engine room has passed away!
22. Thanks Meddle! Very interesting indeed yeah I have seen him use a pick in the Isle of Wight festival, especially when he performs 'I Don't Even Know Myself' which has a cool bassline Well it seems Cataldo is the best shout then!
