  1. Nope, I plan on keeping my MS-60B (metal case & very robust) for tuner and HPF then the B1Four (not the X) for amp Sims, cab Sims and compressor duties. Bass>> MS-60B >> B1Four >> Tech21 VT Bass DI>> Amp (Fender Rumble 500 or Mesa Subway D800)>> BF Super Compact x1or 2.
  2. Ordered yesterday, due next week. I'll keep you Guys updated.
  3. The Barefaced One 10 is not a straightforward cab design. It actually has TWO ports, one round plastic down firing and the other is a vertical slot port hidden behind the rear of the speaker creating a second chamber in the cab. Shine a torch up the plastic port and you can see the second chamber and slot port. TBH as it's your first cab build I would encourage you to consider building one of the Basschat designs by @Phil Starr & @stevie that way you will achieve a decent sounding cab and the enjoyment of building it yourself. I've got a couple of 12ins speakers from past projects lying around PM me if you want to have a low cost entry into your cab build.
  4. Indeed by placing "Low EQ" first in the B3n chain may actually free up some DSP processor capacity as any compressor placed next in the chain will NOT be working so hard. "Process Overflow " may not occur.
  5. Exactly, Just trying to get close to a Thumpinator. Set "Low Eq" to 30Hz. Just need to know if it's best to use two in series to get similar performance to the Thumpinator. I use a Thumpinator on my large board so I appreciate it's benefits. On my MS-60B I use two or even three "Ac Bs Pre" to get close to the Thumpinator.
  6. Does anyone know how steep the gradient of the "Low Eq" is on B3n or B1Four? Is it 12dB per octave or 24dB per octave. I seem to recall that the Thumpinator is 24dB/Octave.
  7. +1 They really do look the part.
  8. Indeed @LukeFRC it does answer my question and I agree that just one "Low EQ" would probably be enough. Thank you for your contribution. Yes I saw that from the Effects list on the Zoom site. And as @Al Krow has previously said the "Low Eq" works really well when compared to the Thumpinator he has on his board. I am convinced that the B1Four will be right for me, like @Al Krow I will probably keep my MS-60B. Most suppliers are still quoting 3 weeks delivery.
  9. @jrixn1 you are correct but the "AC Bs Pre" seems to consume quite a fair amount of DSP as I get into a "Process Overflow " when using AC Bs Pre x 2 + compressor + one Amp Sim. Which was the reason for the original question regarding process overflow on the B3n. If Zoom add the "Low EQ" HPF used on the B3n and B1Four to the MS60B then your idea maybe very well work. But the simplicity of stepping up and down patches on the B1Four is akin to selecting one of the six footswitches on the VT Bass DI Deluxe. I really do love the analogue tone stack on the Tech21 VT Bass DI Deluxe .
  10. My main board is Bass>>Tuner>>Thumpinator>> Spectracomp >> EMX ABYswitch(faux guitar)>>Tech21VT bass DI Deluxe >> amp ( Mesa Subway D800)>> Barefaced Super Compact x2. My small board is Bass>> MS-60B (tuner & HPF)>> BD21dI>> Tech21 VT bass DI >> amp (Fender Rumble 500)>> Barefaced Super Compact x1 So I try to simulate the Thumpinator with a 40Hz 24Db/Octave on the MS60B. The two bands I play requires several bass tones which I can achieve on the main board with the six memories on the VT Deluxe but would like to emulate on the small board by maybe adding a B1Four.
  11. Has anyone experienced any "process overflow" issues with the B3n? I'm not sure whether to replace my MS-60B for a B3n OR buy a B1Four to add to the MS-60B and run the two together. I'd use the MS-60B for tuner, & always on HPF & compressor and the B1Four for amp Sims, cab Sims, & the odd effects. Seems to me that I would have more DSP processor capacity with the MS-60B + B1Four than just the B3n alone. The specs indicate that the same DSP is used in B1Four & B3n but probably with different memory capacity. There doesn't seem to be too much difference in footprint on the pedal board either.
  12. That's a really lovely bass. Oh my! I want one! Oh dear I think need to change my underwear! 🤐
  13. +1 For the stock Tone print. I have not tried all the Tone prints on offer but the ones I did try, IMO there was nothing really better than the stock.
  14. On the Zoom MS-60B I use two or three "AC Bs Pre" in series to provide a HPF at 40Hz with a 24 or 36 db/Octave slope (12db/Octave is standard on each AC Bs Pre). Can the "Low EQ" HPF on the B3n offer a similar performance solution? I'm considering replacing my MS-60B with a B3n and I'd like to hear from you Guys if the HPF is as good as the one I currently have on the MS-60B.
  15. I purchased a loaded Squier Jazz body from George, the whole transaction was perfect. Excellent comms, packaging, & shipping . A top class Guy to deal with. George is a real gentleman trade with confidence.
  16. +1 Likewise my Spectracomp is an "always on" effect so the small boost in volume is balanced out with gain adjustments in the Tech 21 VT Bass Deluxe DI. Great bit of kit, stock profile and one knob! "Simples!"
  17. Now that's a neat idea. Bit pricey !
  18. Good choice! You won't be disappointed, enjoy!
  19. Purchased a couple of JBX Pups from Mr Wishbone , excellent gent to deal with, prompt, great comms, first class packaging and shipping.
