1. PM's replied to. Some interesting offers but it's still here.
2.
long shot but would you be interested in trading for an 8x10 mesa boogie cab
Once upon a time I would have. Might be a bit expensive for me though as I'd have to buy a new car to fit it in! Thanks anyway.
3. Thought this might get sold today, but a cancellation means it's still here and still for sale or trade.
4. I acquired this from Johngh a few months ago, mainly as a back up bass and to give a Dingwall a try. It's a great bass, really nice and even sounding and very easy to play. Pre-empting the question about the fanned frets, it is really easy to get used to and you hardly notice it at all. Since I've had it I've re-strung it with Dingwall strings, changed the action to make it more playable for me (it was too low and buzzy before) and taken it on a couple of gigs. That's about it. There are only minor bad points. There's a slight ding above the strap peg on the bottom. John reckoned it had been knocked in transit at some point, and I'd probably agree with that. It doesn't effect the bass in anyway, and all the time you're playing with a strap it's unnoticeable. Also, someone has attacked the truss rod with the wrong type of allen key at some point and made it quite difficult to turn as a result. With the correct ball end key it's possible to turn with enough downward force and I found it easy to adjust the action. I can give you the correct allen key if you need it. It really is a lovely bass, even taking these minor points into consideration. I'm only moving it on as I've become a monogamous bass player (I think)! So here's what I'm after: Effects I'd be happy to trade for some high end pedals, either on their own or with cash to make up the difference. I'm into the weird and wonderful so give me a try. I'm not particularly interested in mainstream pedals but I'm open to suggestions. Any deal involving a Moog ring mod would be good. I'm not really interested in multi-effects. Amps I've got a Berg HT112er and I'm keen to find it a friend. Another single 12" berg cab plus some cash would do it. Not really interested in trading for heads at the moment. I could be persuaded by an Orange Rockerverb 50w plus maybe some cash to even it up, but this might not be the right forum to find that! Basses I know I said I was monogamous but I might be open to an affair! I'd only be interested in trading for things of a similar value or possibly something worth a bit more with cash from me. I'm not really after anything cheap and cheerful. 4s and 5s are good, 6s not so much. I don't have my heart set on anything particular so try me out. Money I'd also be willing to trade it for £750. Any combination of the above would be good too. I can post it to you if you would like but you would need to foot the bill. I don't have a spare case to send it in at the moment so it would just have to be bubble wrapped. It's up to you if you want to take the risk, but for my part I would pack it very well. I'm also happy to drive a reasonable distance to meet up. I'm based in South Birmingham. Photos here:
5. Traded my CIJ jazz with John for a Dingwall Combustion. Thoroughly nice guy to deal with, good communication and very fair when it came to negotiating a trade. I would certainly deal with John again.
6. Thanks Marsy! Haven't got it yet but got a red Post Office card which I suspect is it. Off to the sorting office tomorrow!
7. I've just found the manual if that helps!
8. Really nice Octave pedal which I'm sure most of you on here are familiar with, just not for me at the moment. You can get some really nice sounds with it, good for synth-type stuff and just as a general Octave sound. The peal is in good condition except for a tiny amount of glue residue from velcro removed on the back (no biggie) and a small scratch on the side which I've tried to show in the photo. Obviously neither of these are a problem in terms of the sound of the pedal. I have the box but not the manual for some reason, although it's fairly self explanatory. Looking for £80 posted Only possible trade would be a Moogerfooger Lowpass filter with cash adjustment from my end. Thanks! 9. Bought a Moogerfooger Freqbox from Neil. Pedal is in excellent condition and he is a thoroughly nice bloke to deal with. Don't be put off by no Paypal, he even went out of his way to deliver the pedal in person!
10. Temptation has been removed via eBay :-) Murf now sold.
11. Now on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...3#ht_500wt_1156
12. Yep, the click track thing works a treat. I found that a really loud bass drum sent from one of my soundcard's out's serves that function very well. The pedal is pretty versatile and you can coax some really interesting sounds out of it if you put the time in, not just the rhythmical filter sound.
13. I'm selling my Moogerfooger for £170 posted. It's a great pedal, but I just haven't found a use for it so I'm moving it on. It comes with the manual and a non-original power adaptor (Maplin) plus the adaptor to reverse the polarity of a regular power source. I don't have the original box but I'll wrap it up really nice and tight if you want me to post it (postage not included in the price). There's also two strips of velcro on the back where it's been attached to my pedal board. I'm more than happy if you want to pick it up. Cash, Paypal, Bank Transfer all cool. The pedal's in great nick as you can see from the pictures. If you haven't got the cash just now but you fancy trading, I'm after a Moogerfooger Ring Mod and I'd be happy to do a straight swap assuming that it's in as good condition as the Murf. If you've got anything else interesting in the effects department I might be tempted too, but it's really a Ring Mod I'm after. Any questions, give me a shout. Chris
